Bio and Links
Bio Photo I served in the Army and Army Reserve for over 25 years with more than 15 years in the public affairs arena.
My experience runs the gamut from working at the U.S. Army Field Station at Camp Humphreys, Korea to running the day-to-day operations of the Press Camp Headquarters at Fort Shafter, Hawaii.
Various positions have included work as a newspaper editor, educational publications, community and media relations, as well as marketing.
For the past four years I have been dedicating time to primarily adding records for my extended family, friends and veterans' and local cemeteries.
Additionally, in late 2012 I completed my application and was accepted into the Daughters of 1812, my first lineage society.

RE: Leavenworth
Ooooh. OK now I get it. I just started looking at my memorials in Leavenworth National Cemetery and I might be able to do that. I won't do those created this month unless you want them thinking there hasn't been time to get a permanent marker in yet.

RE: Leavenworth
Would you drive that by again? I'm Swedish and some things sail over my head. I took what you said to be funny but then I see humor in many things.

Great catch! Yes, he is a son of OHP and Emeline Abbett. Have sent edits and links to Mark Wirey.

RE: Leavenworth
Ok Mary Ann, I figured out all I needed to do was to remove my Ft. Leavenworth requests, that opened it up for me to do the ones for Leavenworth National Cemetery. I went down the list of "A's" and put requests on the first 20 without stone icons. If you create a virtual cemetery for any or have any plan of action, get back to me and next week I'll do more.

Arethusa Gould Newcomb
I was trying to read the article on Arethusa's memorial page, but am not able to enlarge it enough to read. This is memorial # 72417198. I have done this before, but this one won't come up. Is there any way you could transcribe it or send it to me Thanks!

Leavenworth photos
The weather was terrific. I should have been home cleaning up leaves. I "assumed" from reading your bio that you lived in the Leavenworth area...guess that's what I get. Mike

RE: Escott
Mary Ann,

I'm so glad. They are both in Columbarium niche 239. I will try to get better photos next time I am there. They are up pretty high and behind glass, so getting a good photo without glare was difficult. I'm going to add another photo i took of the two side by side to both of their memorials now.

Anything else I can help you with, please do not hesitate to ask.
