My name is Jerri, and I live in Thurston Co., Washington. Genealogy has been my hobby for almost 40 years. I discovered Find A Grave during a recent project for the DAR, and what a great way to help other genealogists and researchers! This is a perfect opportunity for anyone to document those deteriorating tombstones in their area, as well as helping others who live too far away to do it themselves!
The project I helped with was tasked with locating and documenting the burial place of 767 very special DAR members, who were actually daughters of Revolutionary War Patriots. We found almost all of them, and they are grouped in virtual cemeteries by the state in which they were buried.

Thank you for the quick transfer!!
|Collins Crapo||Sarah Ann Waters Hammon|
She was not married to Heber Levi Hammon, but rather to his brother Daniel Rastus Hammon.

Right you are - she was the second wife of all three husbands. Good catch and thanks so much!

Thanks, but I should not receive transfers, as I am related to only one person there. Appears you will be receiving several photos on your Blandford Cemetery memorials from merging Hill Cemetery misplacements. Mergers to that contributor might be in order. I will give you list when relocation project is finished.
|George Harger||Infant Crooks in Blandford|
This infant & brother Henry share a beautiful double stone in Blandford Cemetery. There is a Hill Cemetery memorial named Crooks Children which I am renaming Infant Crooks. Then I will merge with this one so that the photo appears on this one. Seemed the best way to handle this confusion. Bear with me and all the connections & locations will come out. I start heading there from AZ next week, so I will actually get to see this double stone.

Thanks for the ancestral transfers - will enhance them in the face of much Blandford confusion/indifference as George points out in his note below.

|George Harger||RE: Phineas (Son) & Jonathan (Father) Frary|
Thank you. The white building is across the street from Blandford Cemetery, so your listing is correct as i suspected. This will help get the other memorial moved. Have to go thru Edit on Find A Grave, as the contributor is inactive.
|George Harger||Phineas (Son) & Jonathan (Father) Frary|
The father/son are on the same stone. You have Phineas in Blandford Cemetery. An other contributor has Jonathan in Hill Cemetery. Any thoughts? Appears to be several mixups between 3 Blandford cemeteries. I will be out there in a few weeks to try to correct some of them. So if you know this answer, that would be two less to do, and much appreciated.
Thank you so much for the transfer!
I have added a photo to Sarah Sisson that I took several years ago on my yearly visit. Each year I am pleased that her DAR emblem is still there, but worry from year to year. Again, thank you for your work with the DAR graves.
|Constance||transfer Sarah Sisson|
Hope you can transfer our gg grandmother Sarah Amelia Sylvester Sisson (39080420). We have visited the cemetery every year and there is a marker for her along with her husband George so I will place a photo. Thank you for your DAR work - especially for the real daughters - Sarah has a photo and article in the book about the real daughters.
