I have always found walking in a graveyard very peaceful and relaxing. Now I find my treck through a cemetery is filled with purpose. Years ago I began my own genealogy project. Through tracing back documentation and visiting many cemeteries I found broken tombstones, missing tombstones and missing documentation. How could this happen and why doesnt anyone care? Well I care! If I can perserve someone elses history by photographing a headstone then that is my purpose. I am particularly drawn to recording and photographing those who served our country. They should never be forgotten.
