Bio and Links
Bio Photo July 2015, am recovering from surgery.

West Norwood Cemetery (WNC) is over 40 acres and some parts are covered in brambles and completely inaccessible. Ivy covered memorials can be seen sticking up through the undergrowth here and there.

Lambeth Council has an online database of re-used graves in West Norwood Cemetery. If you find your ancestors on this website, there will be no sign of their graves in the cemetery, and any grave marker on the plot will belong to the new owner.

I strive for accuracy but am not infallible. Corrections and additional information are welcome. Please use the Edit tab on the memorial in question.

For all other matters, I can be contacted by using the 'Edit' tab on this memorial, and then selecting 'Suggest any other correction or addition'.

Please respect the efforts of photo volunteers and do not steal photos. Most people will give permission if asked.

I will not strain my eyes trying to read anything written in ALL CAPS (which equates to SHOUTING). If the shift key is problematic, all lower case is preferable.

Most questions will be answered by reading the FAQ, aka Help With Findagrave. Further clarification can be obtained by asking questions in the Findagrave Forums.

RE: Lewis Glenton Kerr
Hi ! Thank you so much for this!
Thomas is the brother of my 2x-great grandfather Lewis Herbert Glenton-Kerr; and indeed the son of Lewis Glenton Kerr. I have a friend headed to West Norwood this week who claims to have located where the grave for Lewis (father) would be. I must have completely missed this grave for Thomas, thank you ever so much!

RE: New forums
Of course you weren't blacklisted, but I can understand having a touch of paranoia when you weren't allowed to register. I'm so glad you got the registration to work!

It seems that I've been kicked out of the Facebook Gravers' Lounge group, sometime between last night and just now.

RE: New forums
The only "security" thing I remember from the sign-up is a captcha, a little box with a blurry series of letters/numbers that you have to type correctly.

They won't let us even discuss the absence of a Lounge. I started a thread in the "Help With The New Forums" board, asking for directions to the Lounge because I couldn't find it. They locked the thread right away.

There's talk in the Facebook group about a Lounge being added, but open only to people who have a high popularity rating. Horrible, just horrible.

RE: New forums
I joined the new forums, but I doubt that I'll be spending much time there. If they don't add something equivalent to the old Lounge, I probably won't spend any time there. I'm very saddened by the loss of the place I considered home.

Yes, it could be down to different calenders but the date of death varies too not just the year.

Thanks for your response! :)

RE: Charlotte Mappin
Aha, I must have muddled them up when reading your information. I agree the Jan 1875 date is for Edward. Yes my husband is distantly related to them and yes, I did have a long session at the research! I hope you can delete the public message I had left.
Thanks sincerely for all your contributions. It is great for someone living on the other side of the world to have access to the grave details.
