Some of the cemetery pictures I have taken are of higher quality than others, so I wouldn't be at all offended by polite suggestions to remove a photo, if better ones have been obtained. A reminder that if my thumbnail on a memorial seems distant, or grainy, one can click for a larger detailed image. I do not keep originals after uploading successfully. FYI - most photos were taken relatively close to the upload date.
I'm generally willing to transfer memorials, other than my own family (unless you have a closer relationship). Please let me know your relationship to an individual, no matter how distant, or other circumstances triggering the request - thanks.

Please do not request that I add (paste) extensive obituaries or other similar material. If you feel there's a specific reason why the person should have special note, please explain why I should make an exception - thanks.

RE: Samuel Chapin followup
I do not have a father for Samuel. Sarah is on the 1850 census with 3 other women and she is on the 1855 & 1865 state censuses with Samuel. I assume her husband passed prior to 1850 and is buried elsewhere. Samuel purchased the Chapin lot in Oakwood when his mother died, she was the first burial on that lot. I hate loose ends so I will continue the search for Sarah's husband, Samuel's father. If I find him I will let you know.

RE: Samuel Chapin in Troy, NY
Samuel A Chapin was the great grand father of my Aunt. I know Sarah is his mother as she is listed as mother on the 1865 New York State census and she is buried on the plot with Samuel and Eveline McAlpine Chapin (his wife). Also on the lot are:

Son of Samuel & Eveline - Eliam S Chapin & Wife Josephine Rogers Chapin, their son, Eliam R Chapin, another son George Chapin, and two daughters Florence & Marion Chapin. Another daughter Cornelia Chapin Coffeen is also in Oakwood in another lot with her husbands family.

George B Chapin son of Samuel & Eveline is also on the Chapin Lot along with their daughters Lillie Chapin Perry and Cornelia Chapin Bosworth.

There is also a Mary G Chapin buried there but I am not sure of the relationship.

Let me know if you'd like any additional info on any of the above. I am happy to share what I have.

RE: Helen Hoitt
Thank you for your quick response.
The funeral record indicates that she is
actually buried at Forest Hills Cemetery.
My photo was taken at Manomet Cemetery.
Possibly it is a cenotaph at Manomet, I
cannot be sure. The record that I was looking
at was a transcript, not the actual record.
Possibly there could be a mistake.
I will do a little further research.
Thank you for all you do for Find A Grave.
Take Care,

You would like me to add additional information
to her death date and also add the maiden
name "Judge."
Please advise where I find this information.
Thank you,

RE: Erling Rolie
don't know who axel Roli is or how he fits into the family yet? Not sure if they were married or not? Have to look at Norwegian records.

Dear John,

I sent you a bio for our cousin Barbara Colleen DAVIS Owens, on her EDIT page.

I re-read your Find A Grave member bio. If you would prefer to transfer her Memorial to me, that would be nice.

Yours truly,
Maureen Davis (#47531447)
