Bio and Links
Bio Photo Amateur photographer in Massachusetts who has always enjoyed wandering through cemeteries and taking photos. Discovery of Find A Grave now gives me an excuse to get out with my camera and take photos.

And yes, my profile image is indeed from an actual headstone in the Forefathers Burial Ground of Chelmsford, Massachusetts for Oliver Fletcher (d.1771) (Find A Grave Memorial# 18168422).

I suspect both dates are relevant. He was KIA, so he likely died in '45 and his body returned home in '48. So many of the WWII burials are recorded in the database in the late 1940s for this very sad reason. If I can get there, I'll grab a photo.

RE: John Bork
You're welcome - yes, but right on the edge of Yard 2 so I wasn't confident sending you the edit.

You're very welcome, I'm glad it was of interest to you! My grandfather was a classmate of your grandfather's at Georgetown, and I believe they may worked together for a short time. Thank you for your nice message!

I'm so glad you welcomed the additional photos... I never know when I should or shouldn't, some people might take it as a criticism and I'm so glad I did because you appreciated it.

I'm just free lancing around A and AA section trying to get as many flat stones as I can because they are all sinking. :( You can pay $50 to get them cemented up but most of the graves have no family left to do that.

I'm not sure I'd be brave enough to venture out in the winter to take pictures. We get lots of snow here. I wish I knew how to get a group together to help uncover the truly buried stones. It is very sad that some won't ever see a family member's grave.

My autofill feature is a pain when using this site. Sorry to make you re-edit that.
