Bio Photo PLEASE NOTE ..Find A Grave has something to help us update the memorials so if I have entered any information that is incorrect, please use the edit function for corrections. I want to keep the information as accurate as possible.

Go to your Contributor Home Page and you will see an Edit Tab on the right hand side at the top. You will now need to approve or decline those edits submitted by users.

I began by helping my mother with her genealogy research by locating our ancestors' graves. Then, I got involved with several friends, helping them create their trees and memorials. You can see the names we are following in my virtual cemeteries. Along the way, I have found others' ancestors and created their pages. Now I have documented our ancestry to Col. Daniel Boone which was very interesting. And, finding the "Women of the American Revolution." Next trying to break down several "brick walls."

I'm happy to transfer management to family members, just ask! Please use the "Edit" tab and "Suggest a Correction" when doing so and remember to give your member# along with your relationship or reason for the transfer.

I believe that memorials should belong to family members whenever possible, as family have a personal interest in honoring their relatives and are better able to complete, maintain and improve memorials with additional details and research. I am more than willing to have family members "adopt" them.

Please feel free to use any photos I have posted in your research work. Photo courtesy of Find-a-grave member #47361005

Note that, once I have dealt with a message, I will delete it, so if you don't see yours there, that's what happened.

RE: Rachel Merryman Laughlin photo
I could only make out enough to prove it was her stone. It has worn badly. The cemetery book from 1988, has just the details already on the site. If you need anything else let me know.

Letzkus photos
First off you're welcome, glad I could help. Secondly, I will add the edits to Cecelia's memorial giving credit to you. Thirdly, I'll have to go back to take a "generic photo", that's no big deal. Fourth, can you give me the names of the family members in Section B without markers. And lastly, would you want any of these folks transferred to you. Don't worry about credit for my photos. I'm not concerned with big numbers, it's more about people finding their people

RE: William G Tomer #14019451

William Gould Tomer
October 5, 1833, New Jersey.

September 26, 1896, New Jersey.

Union Cemetery, Finesville, New Jersey.

Tomer studied singing and sang in the choir in Finesville, New Jersey, and began teaching school at age 17. He served in the Union army during the American civil war, then worked as a clerk in Washington, DC, served as music director for Grace Methodist Episcopal Church, and taught school in New Carpentersville and Greenwich, New Jersey. He was living in Greenwich as of 1880.

I wonder if this cemetery has been renamed?
I have a family tree on him on
There is so little on him.

RE: James Coyne burial
Atheist headstone. I found it on a website and I am guessing it is not real. Not sure. I did find two at Forest Lawn, Glendale.

"Return to Sender"
"Factory Reject"

Plan to use those in the future.

Always love a good laugh.

Hope new photo was okay. Please feel free--I give permission--to change the caption for the Commemorative plaque photo or take it off. If you'd like, I can remove it and re-submit the photo with a more proper caption.

RE: Lizzie Witherspoon
You're very welcome. There aren't any more Witherspoon's in that cemetery that I'm aware of. Email me a list of names and I'll be on the lookout for them in others since I do see the name at times.

RE: John Postlethwaite #5236707
The photo is the memorial. I will go back and look again. I just now got a map. Our guide (place is locked) said many who have stones have been moved to other cemeteries in Lexington. Give me a few days and I'll see if I can get another appointment. Beautiful place but so many unreadable or in pieces.
