I'm 66 years young; an ex serviceman who served 12 years in the Australian Regular Army, with no overseas service, in the foodstuffs and stores section in the Royal Australian Army Ordnance Corps (RAAOC). |
I live at Cleveland, in beautiful sunny Queensland in one the best and safest countries in the world - AUSTRALIA.
I research Queenslander's who served in Boer War/WW1/WW2 & Beyond.
Am have now got myself interested in Cemetery graves and have now completed the whole of Hemmant, Cleveland and Dunwich Cemeteries.If you are seeking a grave photo in Hemmant, Cleveland or Dunwich Cemetery then please request it and I'll send it to you.
Where I place a "Grave Unmarked" notice on the site it means the Grave has no Headstone. (Personally, I would love to see descendants place some kind of Headstone on their relative's grave to show they care. That is why I'm doing this, to show relatives where their descendants ARE buried. So please, show your relative they are loved by placing a plaque on their "Unmarked grave".
I now have the Dunwich Benelevent Asylum records which I am gradually placing on this site if they have died and were buried there. I have created a separate Grave for them. They range from 1866 - 1946. Do not hesitate to ask me to look up an Inmate if you believe he/she may have been sent to the Asylum and was Discharged or DIED. Redland City Council has a Dunwich Asylum Memorial Wall on Stradbroke Island for those who have DIED on the Island and have now no known grave. You can apply to the Council for a plaque to go onto the Wall. Proof of Internment is necessary so you can, with my permission, use the Admission Sheet on his FAG page or you can send me an email and I'll send one to you.
I'm here to help, so please do not hesitate to ask.

|Jennifer Beahan||Toowoong Cemetery|
I claimed a few of your photo request from Toowong on the weekend but unfortunately the majority of of the graves were unmarked. I noticed on one of you other requests you had asked for photos of unmarked sites not to be put on the memorial but I did take photos of the grave site with some flowers where the headstone would most likely have been placed if there was one and am happy to post these on the memorials if you would like me to.
Let me know if you want them posted.
PS I did find in my travels a grave for a Private Duncan McDougall (6th QIB Anglo-Boer War and 41st Batt. AIF No 936)and his wife Martha Jane. It wasn't a war grave but would you be interested in it?
|Jennifer Beahan||Dunwich Benevolent Asylum|
I see in you bio that you have information in relation to inmates and deaths at the Dunwich Benevolent Asylum. My Great Grandfather Samuel Baker died while an inmate of the Dunwich Benevolent Asylum on 20th November 1929 at the age of 68 and is buried in Dunwich Cemetery. From inforamtion I've already gathered I have found out his Asylum Registration No was 160/28 (which means he was admitted in 1928) and his Cemetery No. was 384C but I have not seen his admission sheet. Do you have any of his admission information? I would love to see a copy and if possible use it to add a plaque for him onto the Memorial Wall on Stradbroke Island.

you say in your bio you will not let people use your photos for any reason.
I thought the whole idea of this website was to share the problem of distance from loved ones graves?
I took a few photos for you in sydney some time ago, you thanked me and asked for a clearer version of some of them as you intended to publish a book!
Since then i have made a point of ignoring any request you put on this site.
Get in the spirit of the site, and share your research and photos with the world, as the rest of us do
You may not be a young person, but neither am i (71 yrs) but i still find great pleasure from searching for these gravesites, regardless of weather.

|Cosmoshar||RE: James Hargreaves (1909 - 1909)|
Hi John, I have sent you a private message you to email address you have on this site but it keeps bouncing back saying no such email address. thanks
|Cosmoshar||James Hargreaves (1909 - 1909)|
Hi John, just to let you know you have some wrong information on the above. You have little James as his Parents being:
Charles Hargreaves (1878 - 1942)
Janet Tassie Hamilton Hargreaves (1878 - 1963)
that is incorrect completely. His father is unknown but I do know who his mother was, as I know all the Hargreaves family history
