Bio and Links
Bio Photo I've always had interest in old cemeteries. As a young girl I had recorded all the names in a local cemetery into a notebook. I assumed it was thrown away, when I moved from home. Since then, my military & family life had taken up most of my time. Now that I'm retired, genealogy research led me to FAG and now another interest had taken over my life, just kidding. I belong to a local historical association and one of our duties were to record all the names in our parish's cemeteries. I have so many interests/hobbies there's not enough time in the day it seems like.

RE: Theodore Dendinger Memorial Gardens

Although I have been a contributor for years there is much I do not know.
I'm not sure what links are? If you will be so kind as to explain I will gladly make any adjustments.

Yes. I saw that I have made duplicates and I have removed them when they were brought to my attention.
Thank you for the notices.

Glenn was my oldest daughter Nannette Byers Carter's brother-in-law.
It was my honor to create a memorial for him.
He was a wonderful man * as is his whole family.

RE: Port Hudson Cemetery
I know. Just when you think the newspapers and funeral homes have it all straightened out, this happens. I'm seeing new burials at Louisiana National and the spouses moved from Port Hudson to Louisiana National to join them. So we just do the best we can, then amend where necessary....

RE: SELA Veterans Cemetery
Hi Judie,

Thank you for your nice note. I just noticed that it needed some catching-up. Will you be able to keep an eye on it now that is is all caught-up? If you could, that would be wonderful!

Warm regards,

I was checking into the duplicates and so far I have found several created by someone AFTER I created mine. That person will have to be contacted in order to delete it and I have done that.
I don't have time right now to go through 800+ memorials, so I will get to it bit by bit.
Also, another thing I remembered, was at one time they had a problem with 2 cemeteries with the same info. One was called Zion and the other was Old Zion. Maybe they were merged? I did go to check that there is only one Zion church and the sign out front reads Old Zion.
I will be working on correcting what I can and help clean up any mess I may have inadvertently made.
Thanks for your help.

You had left me a message about the above memorial and mentioned that it and many others were duplicates.
True, mine are added later, but if you notice, many people have left changes and additional information to the ones I made. Many times that is because the person who initially made the memorial (that mine is a copy of) can either no longer be contacted or does not answer or make changes that are requested of their page. So, the changes and additions that are requested of me, I make them while the original page remains unchanged for years on end.
As far as I know, you have to contact the person who created the memorial in order to delete it. If they are not answering for whatever reason, it will remain on f.a.g.
If there is anything I can do to correct this, I would and if you have any suggestions as to what I can do, please let me know. I would just feel badly if I deleted mine and all the additional information that is on the memorials I created lost to someone who would have liked to have known it.
Thank you for your input. I do welcome it.
