I am retired so I have time to walk through the cemeteries and take pictures. In mid July 2010 I started a project to record as many memorials for the cemeteries in my county (Broome, NY) with pictures that I could. This project is done. I have moved on to cemeteries in Susquehanna PA and Tioga NY.
The following link will show all the cemeteries in the surrounding counties photographed (by me and others!) and added to Find A Grave:
Broome County NY Cemeteries
Tioga County NY Cemeteries
Susquehanna County PA Cemeteries
Have started Chemung County - no map yet.
Cemeteries Statistics as of 07/20/2015 (by County):
.................... Broome NY .... Tioga NY
# Cems .......... 145 ............... 102
# Cmplt ......... 145 ............... 101
% Cmplt ....... 100.0 .............. 99.0
Memorials .... 187,945 ......... 66,972
w/photos ....... 93.8% ........... 85.7%
................. Chemung NY . Susquehanna PA
# Cems ............ 125 ............... 191
# Cmplt ............... 4 ................. 53

If I have added memorials for any of your relatives, please thank me by visiting a nearby cemetery and add the gravestones there for others to find their relatives.
You have my permission to use any picture taken by me for private uses. For public use, you may use them as long as I am given credit. For commercial use, please contact me.
If any of the memorials I have created need updates, please contact me using the edit tab. If any are a relative of yours and you want to manage them, let me know and I will transfer them. Please use the edit tab and SAC to ask for a transfer or update.
I am submitting edits to move middle names/initials and/or maiden names from the first name field to the proper field. I am typically doing 20-25 per day for a cemetery. If you are receiving them and would like more or less per day, just let me know.

First of all, let me say thank you for your assistance in edits to many of our memorials.
I do the edit corrections and I goofed earlier today and deleted a page of edits before I had done the corrections. The last name that I corrected was Ron CHENEY and the list picked up again with Minnie CHURCHES. If you have any way to replace those missing edits, I would appreciate your doing that.
Those of us from the Society who work on maintaining the memorials know there are many corrections to be made and do them as we find them, but your requests have moved us along in that process.
Thanks for your help.
|Patrick Patterson||Marean Memorials|
Paul, I've documented most all of my Marean relatives in Broome and Tioga counties and found you have uploaded most of their graves to Find-A-Grave. Thanks for all your hard work, especially in the Maine Village Cemetery and the Allentown Cemetery in Glen Aubrey. Your work is much appreciated.

Thanks Paul for helping clean up all my old batch loads for this cemetery!

Thank you for putting photos and information of my Grandfather and Grand Uncle on your profile. My Grandfather is Kenneth B. Morrison, who is buried in Holy Name of Mary Cemetery in Montrose, Pa. My Grand Uncle is in the same cemetery and his name is James Kane. Much appreciated.

|Kathy Phelan||Tuttles, et al|
OK...I see what you mean. I never corrected the original listing. Guess I should check all the Tuttles since they are my relatives (most of them)
Thanks for the corrections.
|Kathy Phelan||Mary Malinda Tuttle and Olive Tuttle|
Mary Malinda was my great grandmother and Olive a great aunt.
I'm not real sure what corrections you are making as what you suggested is exactly what is there.
I'll say OK
|Jack Homer||RE: Anna Kelley|
Sorry about that. I am quite new at this. This was my first attempt that I had declined and could not figure out why. I thought it was because of the misspelling of Kelly which should be Kelley. It is Kelley on the gravestone for both Anna and James D.
Anna's father Cornelius Morley was born in February of 1858 not 1888. I already have submitted a pending edit on that which should clear this up.
Thanks for the heads up on the edit tab. Had not figured that one out yet. I have submitted over 150 requests for changes and additions within the last month and am getting a lot of approvals from both my father's and mother's side of the family.
My maternal grandparents are in the same cemetery Anna Morley Kelley is in. They are John and Grace Fitzsimmons. Thank you very much for your help in more ways than one. This Find a grave site is one fascinating site. I have used it a lot putting together my family trees.
|Kay Ennis||RE: Patty Blanchar|
Okay, thanks! It sounds like it's a theological quote rather than any more family info...
Thank you, Paul.
|Kay Ennis||Patty Blanchar|
You photographed Patty Blanchar's gravestone (Itaska Cemetery, Broome County, 1790-1832).
I notice that there is more engraving at the bottom of her headstone, below the info about her age at death. Do you have any more info about what that inscription says?
She was my 4th-great grandmother; don't have much on her.

Hi Mr. Paul,
I been hunting for the cemetery where my husbands grandfather is buried for a couple of years. I had a picture of the headstone but could not find the cemetery. You just have put it on line. I was working on genealogy today and decided to look again and there was his name. I was shocked!!! My sister has even helped me look. His family is not interested because he left his family and children but for the sake of records in the Family Tree I wanted to find the cemetery. Thank you so much for your hard work! It is really appreciated.
(My husbands father changed Narzisenfield to Fields after he came to this country...boy am I glad!)
