ORVF has been a pioneer of online genealogy since 1997. Author and family historian A.David Distler created the website after his book titled "Ohio River Valley Families" was published in early 1997. ORVF was, and still is, a digital archive for many additions and corrections to the book. The database is very comprehensive, remaining focused on related individuals, their ancestors and descendants, who once settled the Ohio River Valley. A few notables in this database are George W Bush and George H W Bush, Louis Capet (King Louis VII of France), Daniel Boone, Stephen Hopkins and Francis Cooke (of the Mayflower), Zachary Taylor, Dwight Eisenhower, Ulysses S Grant, Jefferson Davis, Virginia Katherine McMath (Ginger Rogers), Myra MayBelle Shirley (Belle Starr), James Madison, Theodore Roosevelt, Franklin D Roosevelt and Richard Nixon.
link children Hello ~ I am trying to link Hendrick Banta memorial #8416275 to his son Daniel memorial #6402744. Daniel's mother was Anti Demeree memorial # 155860049. I sponsor Hendrick's memorial but findagrave says the link needs to be make from the child.
Mary Jane (Dunbow) Cronin Hello. I've just found the memorial page for my 2nd cousin's great grandmother, Mary Jane (Denbow) Cronin Memorial# 10363718 and have sent in some edits for her. I believe the parents she was linked to are incorrect. First off they'd be in their 60's when they had her, and I've found several documents with Mary in them with a John (Memorial# 9950349) and Susanna "Anna" Denbow (Memorial# 9950351) showing that they are this Mary Jane's mother. So I've also included in the edit correct links to her parents memorial pages, who, are also buried in the same cemetery as Mary Jane and the 'other' John and Anna that she is currently linked to.
I've also sent a link to her husband's memorial page as well.
Also, I'd be happy to take over maintenance of their pages as well! :)
Masterton Cemetery Monroe county OH The cemetery is located in Adams Township, Monroe County, Ohio, and is # 8047 (Lebanon Cemetery / New Masterton Cemetery / Masterton Cemetery) in “Ohio Cemeteries 1803-2003”, compiled by the Ohio Genealogical Society.
This cemetery is NOT in Adams Township, Monroe County OH It is actually in Bethel Township, Monroe County OH. Will you please correct this . Thank you.
RE: John Neibch and Johannes Neibch Not that I am aware of, John is American for Johannes so am not sure what you are saying, will have to look up what I sent you. Off hand I believe I thought the 2 should be combined are the same person not father and son and will have to look it up again but think it is because his parents were deceased in a different state so could not be John's father.
