I have been researching our roots for many years. There is something very satisfying in discovering all about my family history; and there is always more to learn!
As well as its primary purpose being a grave registration site, FindAGrave is a wonderful way to memorialize our ancestors, and a great genealogical resource. My husband and I enjoy contributing to this website, honoring those who have gone before us, and helping others to find their long lost family.
We respect the guidelines set forth for this website.
We will be happy to add proper info and links to memorials that are sent via the EDIT tab on the memorial. We do not link to burial unknowns. We do not add (copy & paste) obituaries that are less than 70 years in the past. We will glean information from them to add to the bio section of the memorial. Please cite the source of the obituary information being sent to us. Please DO NOT ADD SCANNED OBITUARIES/NEWSPAPER ARTICLES to the photo slots on any memorials that we maintain, PER FindAGrave POLICIES.
Transfer requests will be made for direct family members, within 4 generations, as set by the guidelines. Please make all SACs and transfer requests through the edit tab on the memorial itself.
All photos that we post are bound by copyright rules. Do not take any of them for your own use, neither on this website, nor anywhere else. Do not alter them for re-posting here, nor anywhere else. Thank you :)
Harry H. Bouder listing Harry H. Bouder listing in Trinity Lutheran Church, New Holland, PA has an error. The obit attached to the gravestone is incorrect. It states that he was married to Catherine Hawk Mattis, but the gravestone says Esther B. Bouder. The stone age calculates to 63 years but the obit reads 86. I found the correct obit corresponding to the dates on the gravestone. If you contact me, I will send a copy to you. Thanks.
Thank you so much for the research you have done and the postings. It has taken years due to an early death of my great grandmother and my great grandmother but we finally made the connections and have found their sites. Would you please transfer Harriet Sweigart (my great great grandmother) #60773009 to me.
Catherine Weber Today, at an antique fair in Smithfield, VA, I found a photo of a young woman with the following inscribed on the back: "Henry Weber's mother Katarina Fisher". This may be a match to your Catherine Weber? Was her maiden name Fisher or did she have a previous marriage to a Fisher? Let me know your thoughts.
#147020806-Swope Hi, I am slow in finding things, but I just saw the headstone picture you put here in Dec. 2015, I just want to say Thank You, That was so kind of you, and for all your hard work on Find a Grave. Thank You again!!
Bella E Russell Clark & Florence K Russell Jones I have discovered the obituary of Bella Elizabeth Clark on the front page of the Reading Eagle dated 10 June 1913. It indicates that she is the daughter of George and Margaret Russell which would make her maiden name Russell and her married name Clark. I also have seen her death certificate and it indicated that she was Mrs Bella Clark. She was divorced, but her death certificate indicated that she was widowed. The obit indicated that she was buried in the Charles Evans Cemetery. The obit also indicated that her sister died 6 months before her and her sisters name was Florence Jones. According to the NYC death records found using family search that Florence died on 25 Nov 1912 and was to be buried in Charles Evans Cemetery as did her did her death notice in the Reading Eagle dated 27 Nov 1912.
