Bio and Links
Bio Photo My ancestors are almost all from the lower Georgia and South Carolina areas and came here in the 1700s or earlier. I love learning more about them and dragging my poor kids to cemeteries to look up tombstones.

I mainly have my own relatives' pages (my cousin passed down some to me as well), but have some other graves I have found and made a page for. If they aren't my relative or you are more closely related than me, I would be glad to transfer their page to you.

If someone who very politely asks to update an ancestor's page that has been prior to the request left virtually blank or politely points out a duplicate causes you to make false accusations against the original page maker and that person through numerous bullying tirades.... please go outside and get some fresh air and take a break....maybe some wine or Xanax?

FYI Just added three new Padgetts and don't know if they are related. Otis & Martha Padget and next to them Rufus O. Padgett.

Robert C. Barnes
Ronnie, I added Green Berry Barnes as Robert's father. Sorry for the over-sight. I'm actually descended through Green Berry's daughter Nancy Rosanna "Rosa" Barnes (1872-1948) who married my great-grandfather Jacob Cuyler Jones (1866-1951). All the best. Tim Jones

This might be some proof at least that the Newsomes lived close to Ebenezer Barnes, Greenberry's brother. Sorry, it didn't post a link but they are listed right next to each other.

RE: Green Berry and Thaney Barnes
You probably have messaged me before. My email is I think my cousin may have found some info, and his wife says he had a book on the Barnes family. We live real close and have asked her about the book. All I want to do is look at it and get the name of it and see if it is available anywhere online, but I think she forgot that we asked about it. I could kick myself for not asking Richard before he died.

My great great grandfather was the brother to Green Berry Barnes. I have seen Thaney Barnes on the 1860 census and wondered if she was their Mom or just a guardian. I know my cousin did a lot of research into that side of the family, but I didn't ask him about the parents, and he has died since I started working on my tree. Glad to see that you noted they were raised or lived with the Newsome family. The Newsome family is buried not far from where I live now.

FYI, Gloria just sent me a note saying that Cynthia Rhodes is her daughter. She is buried at the foot of Gloria's parents graves. Just wanted to let you know.

I have added an infant, Cynthia Ann Rhodes, to findagrave in another section and the owner of the lot is Mary Eubanks Mundy. I noticed on Mary's obituary that she has a daughter Gloria who married a Rhodes. Could this be her child? Just wanted to let you know the memorial is there if she is related.

RE: Hillcrest
I would take Jack with me but we would spend so much time talking that I would never get anything done:) I will probably go sometime next week and I will get them then. If you have any more just throw them on. I go about once a week and don't mind taking anything you need. I have also been taking each section one at a time and going row by row and taking photos. Gives me something to do. I don't think I'm even half way through the cemetery. Might be at this forever!!

HEY! Glad to hear from you. I have made all the corrections you wanted. Would you like me to transfer her and her husband to you? I am just taking photos in Hillcrest and putting them in. I'm not related so if you want a transfer I will be happy to do so. Hope you all are doing well. Glad to hear you are keeping Jack on his toes:)
