I am a southern girl (and being 65, I use the term loosely!) who has been at this genealogy thing for many years. I love cemeteries and find them as beautiful as any park with the added bonus of beautiful markers and a 1000 stories. So naturally I love this site! I live in Savannah, Georgia so I have a lot to explore.|
I am excited to add new photos and search the site for "missing" family members!! Candace S
Family names..Morgan, Thompson, Shiver, Fulghum, Jeffers, Elder, Belford, Winterbotham, Coss to name a few......

|Ralph Gowen||RE: John B Shelby|
Sorry I do not have anything on him
|JoAnn HAGANS Harris||John Goode|
The other person/duplication has him as 1874 and he would have been only 3 yrs. of age and he could not have been in The Civil War. I see 1840 as a date of birth and that would be right and he did participate in the CW. Please look at the photo and tell me what you think is the birth date.
My entry 79702606 11/1/2011
Other Dup. entry 162405864 5/9/2016
Thanks for all of your help.
|JoAnn HAGANS Harris||RE: Confusion!!!|
I only see one Bridget (A) Monahan, 1827-1900. Volume II, Lot 393, Page 107. I don't see two. But, that doesn't mean there are not 2 of them. One of them could have been overlooked. If I were you, I would list both of them. I have come across the same thing, so I listed both.
|JoAnn HAGANS Harris||RE: Michael Hoffler|
Am unsure if I sent you info on him so I am sending the following.
This is the info I have on him:
In addition to him being in this lot are:
Helen Lucille Reilly, Elizabeth G. Reilly, James Reilly, Elizabeth Gillen, Agatha R. Evans, Katherine Miles and Infant Reynolds.
There is a marker.
Six marbe headstones.
Savannah's Catholic Cemetery
Savannah, Chatham Co., GA
Volume I, The Old Section - "R", Lot R-9, Pate 456
Catholic Diocese of Savannah
Katherine Miles and Infant Reynolds have no markers.
|JoAnn HAGANS Harris||RE: J Joseph|
The J. Joseph that I have entered (79866661) and the J. Joseph you have entered (165322599) are the same person. The proof is that you gave me more info on him, including the daughter. My entry came from Confederate Soldiers and Sailors Buried At Catholic Cemetery in Volume II Page 217 tells that he is in Lot MAG 125 on pg. 32 in Volume II. And the Lot Magnolia 125, page 32 is where you entered him, his daughter and three other people.
Now, have I totally confused you? Please accept my apology for not contacting you sooner. Just let me know when I can help you.

|JoAnn HAGANS Harris||RE: Bridget Goodwin|
I went back and put the dod as it is listed in my book. Please take another look and see if I got things right. There is another Bridget Goodwin and am thinking of contacting the contributor and go from there. I woulu like your opinion first.

If you don't mind and at your convenience, please transfer the photos from 144295769 to 75496533. Let me know so I can delete my duplicate.
|JoAnn HAGANS Harris||RE: Noon|
I have asked the person to transfer Michael to me.
Here is the breakdown:
You entered these:
William Henry Rogerson, Sr., Margaret Valentine Lynch Rogerson, William Henry Rogerson, Jr., and Edward Vance Rogerson. They are all in Vol II, Magnolia Section, Lot 127, Page 33.
Mary Lynch, Thomas Noon, James Noon, and Patrick A. Noon. These are in the same lot, etc. as yours but they have no markers.
Michael Noon 154683772
Info tells that there is no designated lot for him. He died Oct. 28, 1876, and at passing, he was 50 years of age. He is a native of Ireland, and his residence in Savannah was on Baby Lane. It says that he is in the Workingmen's Association Lot. As of now, I don't know where that is located in the cemetery and will put that one on my to do list.
Hope I haven't confused you, I just decided to give you the whole ball of wax at one time.
Savannah Catholic Cemetery - Burials With No Assigned Lot
|JoAnn HAGANS Harris||RE: Corneilus Keller|
Cornelius D. Keller 79908334
According to these records he is in the lot with his: father Dennis 105241506 & mother Ann 105241506 as well as 14 others. I will list the others with only his entry.
Does this help?
