Bio and Links
Bio Photo My ancestors are almost all from the lower Georgia and South Carolina areas and came here in the 1700s or earlier. I love learning more about them and end up dragging my poor kids to cemeteries to look up tombstones.

I mainly have my own relatives' pages (my cousin passed down some to me as well), but have some other graves I have found and made a page for. If they aren't my relative or you are more closely related than me, I would be glad to transfer their page to you.

If someone who very politely asks to update an ancestor's page that has been prior to the request left virtually blank or politely points out a duplicate causes you to make false accusations against the original page maker and that person through numerous bullying tirades.... please go outside and get some fresh air and take a break....maybe some wine or Xanax?

I saw your posting to another F.A.G. on a Richmond Ga. memorial. My Main line from SC Barnwell is Hair from John Learns Hair, born 1763 his widow Mary remarried David Shipes Sr. One of John Hairs daughters married John Wilkinson.about 1805 1806. Their last daughter /child born Ga.1814 So I've been looking in the Richomond area first because many Shipes moved there and Barbour Co Ala.
On the Newman line; I have added many Obits as I can find in the Wilkerson family Cem. Richmond GA. "on" a John Wilkinson his daughter (mary Augusta)married a John J Newman he was born 1830, . Other side lines Walker, Woodward, odom, Jowers, Bloom, and many more names.

If you will put your memorial back on and get any info from mine that you want, you may have it since he is in your family.

Let me know when you have all that you want from my memorial #43586454 and I will delete mine.

RE: William Wofford family Augusta, Ga
I would love to see whatever you have on WW Thompson. I have quite a bit of information about him. He was indeed a train conductor. I have the article about the men who boarded the train and killed him. I have his original obituary and I don't share it often, but I have a picture of the men who were lynched for his murder. My husband's great grandfather was his brother, John Thompson. I spoke to a man in Virginia once who was the grandson of WWT. He told me that their father was also John Thompson and gave me the cemetery information for where he is buried. I called them, but all of their records burned, so all I have is what is on the tombstone. He died in the early 1880's so the county says that they don't have death records either. I will be double checking that though. All of WWT's siblings are buried at Magnolia Cemetery. However, his great grandfather died young, so nobody living ever knew him. We have three generations of men and one woman all named John Thompson!!!! Anyway, anything you have I would be so thankful for! I haven't been able to verify anything about the oldest John Thompson and really can't even link that he is our relative. It gets a little tricky because I think he married his sister-in-law after the death of his first wife! Thanks again so much!

John Bohler Thompson
Hello! I must first say that your post about wine and Xanax is hilarious!!!

I have been searching for the Thompson family for years. This woman is the son of W.W. Thompson and I believe he is the son of John and Sarah Thompson. From there I am officially stuck, and have been for a few years. After all, who names three generations of men AND a woman JOHN???

Is there any chance that you have any other information? Either way, I would love to know what else you have!!!

Looking forward to hearing from you,

Brandyce :)

RE: Tom Groover
Hi, again - no, I don't remember any relatives of Tom's, which is not to say they weren't there - that was a few decades ago, and I have trouble remember what happened yesterday.

We went to Bulloch County about every other Sunday to see grandma and uncle MS and aunt Lerlene in the 60s and 70s. They lived around Burkhalter Rd in the SE.

RE: local graves
I haven't gone to Aiken County but that doesn't mean I can't make a road trip. Is there a particular cemetery there that they are in? If it is one or two places I could go take a look for you if it isn't too far away. I'll keep an eye out for the other names and let you know if I find any new ones in Hillcrest.
