| Bio and Links | I have been a family historian for 20 plus years. In that time, I spent many hours in the Libraries, in many Texas Counties and Visiting many cemeteries and other States. I appreciate being able to post my families genealogy to findagrave, so that others can have and enjoy also... When I am blessed to find a cousin, sometimes 3 times removed, and they share a photo with me, I enjoy passing those on as well. They are a families treasures, and to be shared. My mother and father came from very large families. I was the eldest granddaughter of my grandparents on both sides. My mother could help me with hers; but, my father died when I was 4 and he was 26, so I have just researched to find my family.. Mrs. J. R. Poole
Just Retired, now ready to help my wife with my families genealogy.. J.R.Poole | |

 | RE: Reed Family My e-mail is < giegerg@hotmail.com > or my home phone is 817-297-1078. I live in Crowley.
C.W. Axline was first cousin to Ella Reed thru his Bradford mother. After she died, he married Alice McKenzie, another first cousin, reportedly at Ella's request. That did not work out, so he married Laura Schmidt. They were together for many years, when I married into the Axline family. Most of the older kids did not get along very well with Laura...so they were splintered...she was tough and ran everything...which C.W. was willing to allow.
Call me whenever you like...If I don't answer, it means I am out of the house, probably in the Yard, but leave a message. I return ALL calls. | | | Gerry Gieger
 | RE: Reed Family Anita:
You left me a message on Find-a-grave which I cannot access...
Ella Elizabeth (Reed) Axline is my late wife's grandmother...I cannot add the info to the Find-a-grave for her parents, and I thought you were the custodian...as it appears on the Webpage. < http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GSln=Reed&GSfn=Rufus&GSbyrel=all&GSdyrel=all&GSst=46&GScntry=4&GSob=n&GRid=60709862&df=all& >
You asked if we were related; not directly, but my kids are cousins thru their mother's lineage...which is not clearly defined, and I have been trying to tie it down...for their sake, and the sake of her nieces and nephews...which I consider to be mine, too.
We all live in the DFW Metroplex of N.Central TX. There are at least three Axline cousins in this area who are interested in Genealogy, Cheryl (Axline) Bryant, her niece Shelley Dee Rhodes, and Wanda (Axline) Bledsaw...If you recognize any names they are all related, grandchildren of Ella Reed & C.W. Axline.
I was trying to find out if any of the Bradshaw-Reed lineage were in Texas during the period of the Republic, 1836-1845. I can qualify my own children for the SRT or DRT thru my paternal grandmother, but not the Axline-Reed/Bradshaw nieces and nephews.
If you have info that will help me, I would appreciate it...for a long time since my wife passed, I was not able to identify Ella except that she is buried next to CW. Then I met a Lawyer in CA who steered me to the Bradshaw line, and a lot of other documentation fell in place...The Axline's were a clanish bunch, very private, and documented almost nothing. I had to resort to my own research...

 | Re: Lois Seaton 3201997-Photo Dear James,
I have removed the photo and can't remember where I got it or why I posted it, but I apparently posted it to the wrong memorial if no one in the family recognizes it. I'm so sorry for the error!

 | Canneth Swain M# 31937758 He is my GGG Grandfather. I have been searching for his son's (Morgan G. Swain) grave site. Morgan is my 2nd Great Grandfather. I believe he must be buried in this same cemetery, but he is not listed. I know there are many unmarked graves there. Can you give me any information? I know he lived in Brooks County. Thank you for your help. Carrie Dawson Williams | | | M. Littlejohn
 | Chandlers at Myrtle Cem... Hello, James. Just cleaning out my inbox and found that one year ago this month you requested transfers of a couple of Chandler's. Also noticed that you never pestered me about it, lol. Anyhow, I finally got around to it. Transfers made. Thanks for all you do here. Have a great day! | | | | [View all messages...] |
