Sarah "Sally" Shelton Herrin
Do you know where Sarah is buried? It would be nice to find where she is buried to be able to connect her to family. She is the mother of Amanda Jane Herrin Southerland.

RE: Sarah
Thanks for your response. I had thought that they were sisters but wanted to double check.

I did find something odd about the death records of Sarah Link Gentry in that I have located two NC death certificates for her. In the first she is called Mrs Sallie Gentry, died in Durham County; the second, Sarah Link Gentry, died in Person County. In both she is the widow of Stephen P Gentry, died on the same day, buried at Bethel Hill on the same day by the same funeral home. Then things get hinky. On one she is 85 yrs, the 2nd 84 yrs. Her father is listed as B.B. Link, and as Booker or Barker Link on the other. Her mother is shown as Nancy Buchanan on the 1st and as 'not known' on the 2nd. They list the same doctor, but two different causes of death.

Would you happen to know if (by some fluke) there are two different people with all these similarities in the family? Again just double checking. :) I've added my email to my profile, so feel free to contact me direct if you choose. Cheza

Mary Ellen Southerland Davis #131776539
I believe you have Mary Ellen Southerland Davis listed in the wrong Forest Hill Cemetery. You show her as being buried in Forest Hill-South and that cemetery was not established until 1962 (she died in 1943). I believe she should be in the Forest Hill-Midtown Cemetery, which is the original Forest Hill Cemetery.

Sarah G. Smith

I'm interested in your great grandmother, Sarah G. Smith, daughter of Joshua M. Smith and Sarah Lee. My relationship is through her sister, Euphemia Emeline Smith Ryan. Would love to know who Sarah married, where she moved to, etc.

Thank you,
Debbie Lunsford Yates

RE: Smith Cooper Humphries
Transfering the memorial is unnecessary because I am not related in the least. I was just helping with posting photos that I had found to the respective memorials that didn't have them. Thanks for the suggestion. Wished other contributors would view it that way as well. I have a great aunt that I wanted to join with the rest of the family and was pertinently told that 'they' will have to keep them with their county geneology. Boy, that just boiled me. All of sudden, it is like one isn't able to keep their own history...some unknown person or group thinks that it is theirs. I am reminded of the kid 'fish movie' (can't recall the title) where the seagulls were all hollering, "Mine, mine, mine"...Ha, ha

Smith Cooper Humphries
Just added a photo of Smith Humphries. It looks like it is from a newspaper so it isn't that good. However, some of his kin may come around to this memorial and 'see' it for the first time. If you prefer not to have this photo posted because it is so grainy or for any other reason just let me know.
