Lois Freeman.....

Hi John,

Your note of thanks is greatly appreciated. It's sad that there is no longer a marker on her grave.

Please check your e-mail for a story regarding John Dimick, whose memorial you maintain.

Best wishes in your family search.

Dan

RE: Waneta Viola Letoria Dimock photo
I meant to say, my apologies for the grass clippings on the marker. As I tire I do less and less preliminary cleaning!

Thank you SO much for using the link function to attach my photo to your tree instead of just swiping it. I really appreciate your consideration for my copyright.

Sad to say, only two people have ever even bothered to request use of my photos, and the second one thinks that linking is too hard to do!

RE: Mercy Loomis Dimmick
There are some headstones that are almost entirely covered near the Dimmick lot. Also many stones are missing in that cemetery.

Transferred Lester Gilbert to you. I'm not related.
Feel free to edit any part of the memorial to your satisfaction.

RE: Dimmick Cemetery
Well, gosh, that was 4 years ago.......
I took the photo in mid December and the ground would have been frozen, so I couldn't move the stone and it was obviously leaning against something, probably the stone wall. I'm guessing the stone was not in the original position.... that position could be found by probing the dirt to find the broken bottom of the stone. Also, using the order in which Cornelius Durkee recorded the stones back in 1877 can be very helpful. Any chance that you're working on restoration of the cemetery???
Durkee's list is on the Saratoga County GenWeb page under cemeteries, Wilton, Dimick. Edwin, age 1 1/2, was a son of Hiram & Esther and was probably buried next to the infant son of Hiram & Esther, both of whom died in 1829... infant son in February and Edwin in September.
