The tall obelisk has the name HOLLARD on one side near the bottom, but the shot was directly into the sun and it was a mess, I'm afraid.

I do have a picture of his parents headstone if you'd like. You could create a memorial for them & I could attach the photo.

Happy to get the photo for you....
Stone (highly polished) was in the back of the cemetery facing the woods which was very dark so the flash went off by itself (Don't you just hate that)....
I took a few shote from different angles and that was the best one....

If we are talkng the same Richard Warren (1580-Eng-1628 Plymouth, MA) he is my 10th G-grandfather. So your wife and I are (distantly) related !

If you open the photo - it was taken by another F.A.G. member to whom I gave credit. But happy to fill your request.

Thanks for your message. I'll try and get a better pic of Miluse Dimick's marker. Always nice to meet another Sloan. My Sloan line is well-documented back to the late 18th Century. Following emigration from County Donegal, my Sloan ancestor settled in Rockbridge County, Virginia approximately 1760. My specific line moved to Guilford County, North Carolina by about 1823. I am unaware of any Sloan ancestors that moved west towards Kentucky, though it's possible.

You are very welcome. Terrace Lawn is a very pleasant cemetery to visit. Sometimes I just take a bag lunch there, and soak in the tranquility. It is just lovely. Thank you for giving me a reason to visit it.
