He especially finds interesting the veteran areas. Owen really enjoys Gettysburg and Lincoln. We found a relative that had brunch with Lincoln on the day of his address and then she sat on the platform steps to hear his speech.

We have taken many extra photos when looking for family so that someone else can use them. Please do not hesitate to ask for a transfer.

There are many headstones that are completely erased by time or very hard to read. I will list those as Unknown in the hope that maybe someone will recognize them.

And for all the Findagrave members, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I was fortunate enough to have an encounter with my Dad who passed in 1995. While visiting our cemetery, I always stop and check the flowers I had put on the grave. Last time I was there, I was sitting in my car (hot outside) and a brief fragrance came past me. I recognized it immediately. It was the same way my Dad smelled after showering and shaving in the morning getting ready for the office. I have not smelled that pleasant fragrance since 1995.

The latest surprise I had was at Hampton Union cemetery in Hampton, PA. When I got home and loaded my photos on the computer, I had a picture I did not take. It was a complete figure of a person that was translucent. But the odd part was that I was alone that day. It could have been me because my arms are not long enough to take a full body picture and there was no background--no other stones, trees, grass or houses--just white. If you go to my tree in ancestry, you will see it. Since I am still here, I have attached it to my mother, Arlene Horn 1924--2018 in Fairview cemetery, York county, PA.
