Remember, I will still be here|
As long as you hold me in your memory
Our findagrave activity stemmed from my love of genealogy, photography and old gravestones, strengthened when we saw the damage one year of weather does to an older stone that cannot stand the test of time well. We believe everyone deserves to be remembered, beyond plain, cold statistics, and document as much as we are able, especially as we travel. This is a wondrous site where the upcoming generations can easily find their history and ancestors. Even after we are gone, our work will remain. Thank you, Findagrave.
We are all simply the guardians of those we have kindly added until their family comes along. I am eager to transfer anyone who is not family to family. Demands will be ignored, "please" is simply common courtesy. People with kind, sincere words make my day.
I take my heritage, 'graving' and documentation very seriously and most respectfully. Accuracy is of the most utmost importance to me, not who 'owns' a memorial. If I have made an error, please, please, let me know, politely. Cooperation is the entire point of this site. I now understand why people leave Findagrave. If you are rude, I will ignore you.
** I spend over half my time on Findagrave JUST sending edits to admin for duplicates, not documenting cemeteries any more. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE double check before you add a historical person from the 1600's or back. Nine times out of ten, they have already been added.
** PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE read the FAQ concerning BURIALS UNKNOWN. They are to be used for RECENT deaths only, not your 176th great grandfather whose burial is 'not located yet.' There is a rather large debate here about "unknown burials" and I respect this regulation which states that status is to be used for recent burials only. I have refrained from adding hundreds of my relatives whose burials remain unknown due to this policy, so when someone else adds them, and quite freely, either as a burial unknown or "body lost or destroyed" like so many others, I will not link to those memorials. Apologies.
**If you will not honor an update sent in by another volunteer, you are doing the memorial, AND the hard work of the volunteers a real injustice, not to mention the Findagrave admins who now have to do YOUR WORK. If you don't want to do updates, give your memorials to someone who will, PLEASE.
**Do not use my photos without permission, and ask BEFORE you use them. Simple, reasonable. If your pictures are crooked, of poor quality, out of focus, too dark to read, taken at night, shadowed, or the stone is covered in dirt or weeds, or your finger was in front of the lens, I will add my photo on the memorial. I am sorry, I do not intend to offend. It is not out of disrespect for the other photographer, it is out of respect for the deceased. Please have the gumption and consideration to post only decent, well thought out photos.
Regarding historical names such as de Percy, le Clear, the 'de' and 'le' (which literally means 'from' or 'of') are placed as middle names so the person appears correctly alphabetically under Percy and Clear and duplicates are not continually created. Edits requesting these to be changed will be declined.
**USE THE MEMORIAL EDIT/SUGGESTION OPTION ON THE MEMORIAL you want updated for updates requests, transfer requests, or general inquiries for ANY memorial. I will IGNORE AND DELETE suggestions, requests and updates and inquiries left HERE or in EMAIL, as they are REPEATEDLY, DESPITE THIS stupidly bold NOTICE.

Anne I would love to add family pictures to Find-A-Grave. I just need to find the time. I'm glad you enjoyed the pictures.
Edits approved, bio information posted. Thank you for the information. I found her mother and linked her too.

Thank you for the resource information, Anne.

I would appreciate the transfer, Anne, thanks! I created the memorials for most of my aunt's family. I was hoping you were related to Jewell or Cesaren because this branch of the Laclede County MO Hulsey family has pretty much died out and I have many other photos, etc. I would like to get to family members.

Hi Anne - Per William. I know that Jerry Ferren created this memorial and you maintain it, but I wondered who provided the extensive bio/family information and the source/s?
Thank you - Mellanie
|Lady Nic||RE: Jewell Hulsey Gallo|
Of course you may add the photo to her memorial. Are you by any chance related to Jewell or Cesaren?

Memorial deleted and yes Edward is a cousin.
|Carter Buck||RE: Elouise Tuton 51776749|
Elouise Tuton is 3rd cousin twice removed, our common ancestor being her gr-gr-grandfather Benjamin Koen (1768 - 1840). I am researching his descendants.

Hi, Not related, but this looked like a grave which would photograph well for findagrave.
