Bio and Links
Bio Photo I was born and raised in California, my mother from Mississippi and my father from South Carolina. I have four children and five grandchildren.

I have been researching my family and my husband's for many, many years. I have a website at www.myroots.net and very appreciative of all my cousins both near and far who have shared their information with me.

I also own California Genealogy and History Archives at http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~cagha/index.htm with many volunteers contributing to it's success.

I love graving but since moving several years ago all the cemeteries are just too far away to try to take photos.

Peggy - Thank you for doing the updates and the links. You might want to add that Ida died in "Los Angeles Co. Ca." (per Calif. Death Records). Best regards - Bill C.

Like I said I grew up there and have a lot of family there. And the cemetery does not exist.

RE: Welch and Welch-Moore cemeteries
Peggy:

They are 2 different cemeteries. The Welch-Moore cemetery is behind the Rose Creek church in Cowee township while the Welch Family Cemetery is in Burningtown. Sometimes people choose the wrong cemetery when they put up a memorial. Death certificates were often vague in this county about where someone was buried. For example, I have one that says "near home" for the name of the cemetery.

I personally took the photo and Mr Welch is buried in the Welch family cemetery in Burningtown not the other cemetery commonly known as Welch-Moore.

Here is a link to his obit:

http://www.carter-cousins.org/vickie/obits/Wec/welch_thomas.pdf

You could write to the person who has him in the wrong cemetery and ask them to remove it. I think you can do that on the edit tab.
