Susan Fry McAninch Tombstone
If i'm reading the Findagrave site correctly I think in Jan 2015 you put flowers (?) on my grandmothers grave. Thank you very much! I live in MN and my mother (Susan's dau) lives in MN and FL so we don't go back to OH anymore.

Did you know Sue McAninch? Are you a distant relative of mine? I am the dau of Sally McAninch Redinger. I am wondering the reason you have put flowers on the grave...would you mind explaining your relationship or reason for flowers on the grave in the heart of winter?

Thank you in the kindness and remembrance you have shown to my grandmother.

Flowers for Kiehlbauch Cemetery
Hello Rosalie,

I am researching my husbands family in the Bonhomme County region and came across a virtual 'bouquet' apparently laid by you on the Kiehlbauch Family Cemetery in May 2013. Can you tell me any details about this gravesite? Do you know what happened to this family of children in 1886?

Alsie Pitcher
As requested, I have transferred this memorial to you. I have also created a memorial for her husband, but still need some more time to add his bio to his memorial. I have "linked" their memorials. I don't know if you have any interest in or know his family, but I have also created memorials for both his parents and his sister. Again, I need to add some more info to theirs as well. When I was a young child, my mother was a member of Alsie's father-in-law's (Rev. John W Pitcher)church. We attended regularly. The Sunday morning service was broadcast over the radio and his son Paul would either sing a solo or a duet with another lady (I can't remember her name) and it was often the hymn "Beyond the Sunset". Paul had a deep baritone voice - a very good singer. Alsie would be there, but never sang alone or with him. We attended this church (on Lombard St. in Baltimore) until it burned down and they reopened on 25th St. I have vivid memories of Paul, Alsie, Rev. Pitcher and his wife Bertha. I didn't know they had a daughter until I found her obituary. It seems very odd that the daughter's (who has the same first and middle name as her mother)obituary does not list her mother nor does her mother's obituary list her daughter's name. Can you shed any light on this situation? Thanks!

Jacob Switzer photo request
You are receiving this message because you have submitted a photo request for the above named person(s). I wanted to let you know that I will be traveling to that area from Dallas during the first week of June and I would be able to get the requested photo(s) for you. I do need some help from you tho. While I am in the Chicago area, I intend to get as many names off the list for Evergreen Cemetery as possible. The list is growing every day and is now at 263 requests! Evergreen Cemetery is near and dear to my heart as I have several of my own family members there. If you would please call the cemetery office and obtain the burial plot locations and send them to me, I will for sure get them for you when I go there in June. If everyone could get me the locations I could really get a lot of requests done but I can't do it alone! The office number for Evergreen Cemetery is 708-422-9051. You can leave me a public message with the information, or you may email me at Please be sure to reference the requested names. Thank you!

RE: McAninch & Moree
Not fairing well with these. Did come up with a date of death for Austa Allwein McAninch, age 83, died 28 Dec. 1968. Published records do not record either Hobart or Catherine Moree (no entries at all for anyone with that surname), not sure what this might mean, could just have been an error in the book.

RE: Christopher Hillabold
Christopher and his siblings (including his brother Martin who is my gr-gr-grandfather) were all born in Altendorf which is a small village. Altendorf is in the District of Kassel which is in the state of Hesse. It is in the North Hessian mountains about 23 miles southwest of Kassel between Wolfhagen and Fritzlar. Altendorf is three miles from Heimarshausen where Christopher's father was born and where his grandparents lived. This information is from church records as well as family knowledge.
