RE: Carrie Ellen Bair Wineberg
You are welcome. I am glad to share. Carrie would have been my Great Aunt (my grandfather Gourley Bair's sister.) I found the pic in my mother's things. I had to do some searching to learn her married name. My mom's name was Ellen. She always said she was named after her g-mom, Savilla but now I'm not sure. I picked some of the photos you requested to look for at Pine cemetery when I go to Indiana Co. soon. The Cem. is only about 2 miles 'as the crow flies" from my childhood home. Darlene

The photo is complements of my sister Annie who made it back to Jamestown before I did. I kept a post-it note on my desk reminding me to take that photo so I just called her and she obliged. Best of luck on your genealogy journey.

Paul Walker, update
Many thanks for this interesting bit of information about Paul. Always nice to have a little history of a person, even this unhappy part. Credit was posted to you.
Regards,

RE: Chester Kaltenbaugh @ Oak Hill Cemetery
Hi Pamela:
I added pics of Chester & Sarah's tombstone
tonight. I was over to cemetery and photographed
360 more pics tonight. What I don't get done now
I will finish this winter. I doubt I am half way
through yet. I can only go on a cloudy day or in
the evening when the sun goes down.
I don't have any pics of Sally's family, I
didn't know any of them. They lived probably
100 mile away. Dale was raised next door to us.
His mother and my father were brother/sister.

Hi Pamela'
Yes, I know there is a headstone for Chester
Dale, I will be going back there probably this
week yet if the weather cools off. I thought
there was a picture of this already on Find A Grave.
I am trying to post all that are not already on for
Oak Hill Cem. Dale and I were first cousins.

RE: John & Mary Miller Powell
Yes, as far as I can tell, the dates and everything are the same as listed here. I went back two days in a row to get pictures with different lighting conditions.

The stones are extremely hard to read, even in person. They are situated under two big trees, and close to the river. The river flooded numerous times this summer and in the past hundred-plus years. They are in the flood area.

The type of lettering used on their stones is notoriously hard to read. I have the same lettering on my great grandparents' stones in another cemetery. No flooding there, and still can't read the inscription. And that's been since just 1954.

I took numerous photos from several different angles, and this is the best I could get over two days. Your relatives' monuments face south. Nothing on any other side except the name "Honeywell," and the burial of a Honeywell child in the same plot.

I CAN tell you that the lady who posted these memorials got the dates out of a cemetery book, and they should be correct. They seem to match up with what I read on the stones. Did you click on the pictures and open them up to full scale? I am almost positive this is correct.

I will be back to that cemetery, and will see if I can get anything better. It's a challenge!

I found your grandfather's Odd Fellows ornament laying next to his stone. I set it back up, and thought you would enjoy seeing that. That's in one of the pictures. Thank you for your message.
