My name is Dee and I've lived mostly in the beautiful historical Hilltowns of Western Massachusetts. I have been a photographer since age of 8yrs. Now I am retired(haha)and still doing freelance photography. I am the past founder of the Historical Commission for a small town nearby and I've worked for several local Historical Societies doing photo preservation work; I specialized in glass plate negatives. Can you tell I love history. There are many "very" rural cemeteries here in Franklin County. My goal along with several other FAG volunteers is to produce a complete inventory of cemeteries with photographs for the towns of Shelburne, Buckland, Hawley, Colrain, Conway, Charlemont, Ashfield, Heath and Florida MA.|
I will be happy to Transfer a memorial to you; please request it via Edit/Request Transfer. The majority of the memorials I have posted are done with the hope that the family will find them and continue to add/correct information. My photographs are copyrighted but may be used on your ancestry site with permission. Please send me an email stating how you will use them. Thanks!

Hi, may i use the photo of Asahel in East Charlemont Cemetery on my Ancestry.com tree?
Hi Dee. No problem. Believe it or not I didn't even know where Auntie Anna and Uncle Tom's gravestone was and St. Jerome is huge yet I found it within the first 5 minutes in the cemetery just randomly looking around. Not sure if you know who I am but Donna (Grenier) Linderme was my mom. A family friend made her memorial after she died and that's how I found Find A Grave. I'm very interested in genealogy (though I don't have a ton of time given that I have a 3 year old and a 1 year old) and I think this site is really neat.
Love the picture of you in the sunflower field. Just amazing. Nothing like that in my neck of the woods.

Thanks so much for the nice photos of the Amidon family in Rowe. I like when people add more than one like you did - like the wide shot of the whole row of stones. Much appreciated.

You certainly have been busy! That's terrific. Thanks very much for all your work and for your willingness to share. As I add new photos, I will be certain to attribute them to you and I will add an attribution to ones that I may have added earlier, as I come across them. I have always noted Find a Grave as my source, but I am now I am making a concerted effort to include the name of the contributor as well. Again, my sincere appreciation for all you have done! Gwen

I've come across more of your photos for people on my ancestry.com tree, Ann Borodell Tobey Carrier, for example) and as you have covered so many of the cemeteries in Franklin County, there are likely to be more. While you did give permission for me to use one of your photos, I did not want to make the assumption that that permission applied across the board. Sorry to be a pest, but I'd much rather ask first than have to remove photos later. Thanks very much! Gwen
