I am a Title Searcher, which ties together my love of history and research. Title searching a piece of property is similar to researching a familyís history.

I have been working, periodically, on mine and my husband's family histories since the 1970's. My love of family stories started in childhood, when my parents would talk about growing up and their relatives at the dinner table. Two of my most prized possessions are a tape recording of my Dad recounting his time on the USS Otis (sub tender) during WW II and my husbandís Grandmother recounting her life and family.

I am currently adding obituaries from the Danbury News Times, and from the family history I am compiling. When I visit my parents graves in Wyckoff, NJ, I will continue the work already started there.

Although, I try to be accurate, if any errors are found or you would like something added, please do not hesitate to contact me. I would also consider taking pictures of local headstones, or buildings for those doing research from a distance.

These families came from England, Ireland, Germany, Denmark, Holland and Sweden. They mostly settled in the New York and Boston areas, before moving on to other locations in the USA. I need information on both sides of the Atlantic on them.

I would be interested in hearing from anyone who has been helped by the information I have entered.

Maritie Sie Ackerman

Re the above, Memorial #38487321, wife of David Ackerman (1694-1760)

Thanks for all your great info. You may not be able to verify this.

All Ancestry trees show her death as 1747 -- based on Family Data Collections -- which are not necessarily accurate.

Yours is the only record showing her death date as 1750. Do you, by chance, have documentation?

Thanks, regardless.

Concannons in Mt. Calvary, Leavenworth, KS
Hello, LMJ,
Thank you for all your work placing so many of our ancestors on this site! I appreciate all that you have done and are doing.

Have you yet determined your connection to the Concannons? If you find you are not a member of our family, I wonder if you would transfer them to my care. Martin James and Anne are my great grandparetns.

Thank you!

Chas. vs Charles
Sorry to send you so many edits, but if you put "Charles" in the search engine, these people will not be found, as they have been entered as "Chas." :)

I believe you will find that the Ballymore Cemetery aka Craughwell Graveyard is actually located in the County of Galway. The assigned location you have given Creggaun is a townland adjacent to Craughwell. Trust you can satisfy yourself with a little more digging to transfer the memorial and have admin remove the cemetery page for Ballymore.

Robert Coulthurst d 1827
This grave is in St Bartholomew churchyard Chipping, Lancashire. Did you find a gravestone, or did you enter it from some other record? I am interested because I visited the churchyard recently looking for Coulthurst graves and didn't find any, though I know there are many relatives buried there.

Elizabeth Jackson 8596408
I have come to believe that Elizabeth Jackson may be my great great great grandmother. My ggg grandmother was born Elizabeth Sanderson in England in the late 1830's. She married Adam Hulme while in England. I believe she moved to New Jersey with her son William, and perhaps her parents and siblings, after her husband Adam died in 1861. Your Elizabeth Jackson is buried in the Sanderson family plot at Cedar Lawn Cemetery in Paterson. I was curious to know if you had any information that would confirm that Elizabeth had been married previously. Everything that I have found has pointed in this direction. Thank you.

Orson B Knapp
You posted an entry for Orson B Knapp in a Danbury Cemetery and list his wife as Alice Cornelia Burdick. I'm not sure this is correct as Orson, Alice and two of their three sons are buried in Laurel Hill Cemetery in Brookfield. This is part of my family and I know they are there, not Danbury. There are a lot of Knapps around and he could have a cousin with the same name? Check out Find A Grave Memorial# 83061853.
Mary Pitchard(Pitcher) Furber (Great-Aunt Isabel Pitcher Knapp is there!)
