The purpose of my entries is to help families with their genealogy research. It is important that entries clearly designate the city where the deceased died (the death certificate will be in this city). I will always indicate the parents and spouse if specified in the obituary. I do not list living family members unless it be a spouse or parents. I hope the information I put here will prove valuable to families looking for their ancestors' graves in the following areas: In Virginia, the counties/cities are: Petersburg City, Richmond City, Norfolk City, Sussex County, Greensville County, Brunswick County, Dinwiddie County, Southampton County. In Georgia the counties are: Dekalb, Fulton, Rockdale, Baldwin and Hancock. At present I am working on the following Virginia cemeteries: Jefferson Family (Sussex County) and the following cemeteries in Petersburg: Dinwiddie Memorial Park, Blandford, Little Church Street and Wilkerson. |

Your memorial is for Shirley A King. However the headstone and the VA website has her name a Lewis and also has her being married to Lonnie Lewis, Jr. Can you tell me which one is correct.
Geri, would you be kind enough to transfer memorial #31108624 to me #48288732. John is the husband of one of my relatives. Thanks.

I don't find an Oakland Cemetery in Conyers.
Why do you have 30 memorials in a page for it, with no dates or info on any of them?
Are they supposed to be in the big historic Oakland Cemetery in Atlanta?

I photographed all interments in the Walker Family Cemetery and noticed that 29146827 is a duplicate listing. May I ask that you remove it? Thank you.

Hi Geri, you need to look at your memorials, without a date of birth/and or death, as a lot of tombstone photos with dates have been added. Thanks.

|William H. Fuller||Transfer of Memorial|
Hi Geri, would you please transfer Martha Knight Price # 22426200 memorial to me so I may place it with the rest of the Knight/Walker family.

I was researching memorials at this cemetery and saw that you have posted a large number of memorials with dates of birth and death listed as "unknown." I noticed that another findagraver has posted a tombstone photo that clearly shows, in most cases, this info. I would respectfully request that you add/edit your memorials in this cemetery to reflect this info. It would be very helpful to others when searching for their family members. Thanks.

Hello Geri, You have a Mrs. Alice Mattocks Simmons (1922-2009) listed in this cemetery. I visited the (John) Mattocks Cemetery, which is on the Stella Road near Silverdale in Onslow County, this past week, and her grave is not there. I believe you meant the Major Mattocks-Spicer Cemetery that is on the Belgrade-Swansboro Road, near Belgrade in Onslow County. That is the one you mentioned in her biography information. Thank you. H Gibson.

There is a problem which is not of your doing but which you can resolve very easily.
If you look at the first page of your managed memorials you'll find it first lists 2 names – Coleman and Harvell - then the list starts again at "A" after that. If you click on the hyperlink for either of these in the index you'll bring up the page but if you try to find that page on a regular alpha search it will not come up.
This seems to have been due to an indexing problem back in 2006/2007 – possibly amendments were done to these pages during that time frame.
The solution is just to go into Edit Name and click Save. The indexing then rectifies itself, the name appears in its proper place and it can be found in an alpha search.
If this doesn't make sense please let me know - but please do go through the motions on this one - it'd be a shame for your hard work not to be readily useable.
