Art, If you want a photo of the stone in the ground, let me know as I am the Groundskeeper at Hillcrest. Happy to transfer the Ashlins to you.

RE: Chesley Harrison Ashlin
Hi Art, thanks so much for the corrections, I have made them. I think I got my info from the internet. I'm quite sure yours is accurate if it was handed down by family.

RE: Ashlin-Wilkinson Family Cemetery
Here is my email address: rjrampy@netzero.com.

Military markers usually don't include the birth date. At least the older ones didn't. I think the newer ones do. R

RE: Ashlin-Wilkinson Family Cemetery
Googled Victor Blevins died 1917 NC, and found this on Ancestry:

1940 United States Federal Census Census & Voter Lists
Name: Victor Blevins
Spouse: Sarah Blevins
Birth: abt 1890 - Virginia
Residence: 1935 - Holston, Washington, Virginia
Residence: Holston, Washington, Virginia

Wonder if this is him. If so he died young. Or is this his son?

RE: Ashlin-Wilkinson Family Cemetery
Hi Art,

Because I created the cemetery, I can edit the description and the place, and the google map. I changed the description and the county/town. Now, if only I knew exactly where it was, I could add the google map. :)

Art, I don't know how to translate those GPS numbers to Findagrave. No matter how I enter them it won't take. Hmmm maybe I will send the points to a Find A Grave admin and they can figure it out...LOL

RE: Name Change
I am descended from John Hill Groseclose and Lucy Ann Ashlin Groseclose, through their son, Everett Calvin and his wife, Mary Ring. He went west to Texas.

Thank you again for the photos, they are priceless. I created a memorial for Lucy in the cemetery that John is buried in, because he placed a memorial stone for her there, but family legend says that she is actually buried in the Ashlin - Wilkinson cemetery, which I understand is located on land that once was Chesley and Phoebe's land. Are you related?

RE: Name Change
And actually, the cemetery photo should actually be posted on the cemetery's page. If you click on the name of the cemetery, it will take you to a page where you can post cemetery photos. Does Lucy have a stone there? Are there other markers there? Do you have the GPS so that we can place a google map on the cemetery page? Thanks!

RE: Name Change
WOW! Thank you so much for posting the photos. I will contact admin to get them to change the name of the cemetery. Do you have any more information on either of them that I can add to their bios?
