My husband is so understanding as we do our genealogy, plus stopping at cemeteries to fulfill photo requests for other people. |
I retired in 2007 from Nebraska Educational Telecommunications Commission, Lincoln, Nebraska. My husband retired after 20 years in the U.S. Army and then from Nebraska Corrections. After our retirement, we moved to my hometown in south central Nebraska.
If you find any mistakes, want additional information or an obituary added, please send the suggestion through the edit tab on the memorial and I will revise &/or add the information. Since many volunteers create memorials that aren't relatives, it makes it much easier if we don't have to go "hunting" for the memorial you are referring to.
If you are wanting a transfer please let me know your relationship; I don't follow the Find A Grave guidelines, but please let me know if it's a relative, close friend, classmate, etc. OR I will not transfer the memorial to you. If it is a relative of either my husbands or mine, I will also not transfer the memorial.
Edits should always have the source sent.
A BIG thank you to all of the fellow findagravers that add my suggestions, and, especially, the obits so that many individuals can benefit from them on their search.
Please consider any pictures that I have taken as yours...I am the messenger and believe that they belong to the family.

Peggy, Calvin Burr and his daughter Sarah are not only relatives but were my next door neighbors in Carlisle. They were dear to me as a child growing up. Wife Clara was long gone by the time I knew Calvin and Sarah but keenly missed. Carrie C.

My Father, Mother and Father's parents are buried in the Peace Lutheran Cemetery in Deshler, NE. I have been trying to find my Great Grandparents on my Father's side for sometime. His name is William or Wilhelm Hoffman(n) and her name was Bertha. I believe by divorce or death, she remarried a Hermann and is buried in Peace Lutheran Cemetery also. She married a Chris Herrmann (last name spelled differently. My Grandfather Julius Reinhold Hoffman was born to William and Bertha in Iron Mountain, MO but I am having trouble with the history of William and Bertha Hoffman Hermann and where they are buried for sure.

thats fine, just trying to get all the family members listed with correct names and dates. Arthurs dates were all wrong so i don;t know where that came from. I will use the edit button to add additonal info for the people and you can decide to fit it in. I have a picture of John Squire Davenport and madora pack on their golden wedding anniversay. can we add this. I can send it thru email. Their son WH in 1933 wrote a history of his parents and his life as a son boy..it was apsolutely wonderful. It noted their family back to 1699 coming from England as a puritan preacher. cheryl

i was going to use the edit page, but i recall you said at one point to put in a message. I don;t know how to crop, so that is a issue i can;t do. So far Find A Grave has not sent any messages to me about duplicates, so i will have to recheck to see which ones i did. I received a pkg from Linda Hume on Davenport which was amazing. I would certainly like to make sure that the memorials have all the children etc, so can i assume to use the edit page. i have used that for many other families and it was never a problem. We are still on the hunt for more duncan info. thanks for the email..all your memorials were very well done. cheryel

Oh, dear. I just saw the message I wrote to you in January about being able to obtain the obit. OOPS! I will try to find it. Am very involved in some other projects at the moment so it may be awhile. Remind me again in a couple of weeks if you don't hear from me.
My name is Nicolle and I maintain the memorial page for Tabetha Williams, Sears, Stewart. I just noticed there is a link to a husband I did not put on there. I saw this info floating around ancestry.com today and now on here. I am not denying that my great grandma could have been married to this man. I just never heard of him before. I assume you have documentation of this?? I would REALLY love to see it if you do as Tabetha is my labor of love. I have worked so hard in tracking down her grave. She lived with my dad and grandma, Miranda before she passed. I located her unmarked grave after I found her death certificate with the name Stewart on there. That was a surprise, so that is why I do not doubt she could have been married again, especially to a Holloway as this was her mother's maiden name and she was listed as Tabetha Holloway on her marriage license to James Stewart. I always wondered why she used her mother's maiden name. I would appreciate any info you have on her or her mother Nancy - my other labor of love. Thank you! Nicolle firstname.lastname@example.org
