I live in the small village of Winnetoon, NE., population 70. During the winter hours, I spend my time researching family. My families are Ballou, Davidson, Fredrickson, Greggers, Harper, Hopkins, Hubbard, Neuhaus, Oleson, Reynolds, Seltz, Stone, Ward.|
If you need family info or obits from early Creighton, Nebraska newspapers 1901 thru 1913, I may be able to help. Have saved all obits I found. Some weeks are missing.
I also have access to most of the Creighton, Knox County, Nebraska newspapers from 1928 to current.
Except for some gravestones done by others, I have photographed the following Knox county cemeteries...
St. Ludger, Creighton
St. Wenceslaus...all near Verdigre
Bazile Creek Indian Cemetery north of Center
Howe Creek Indian Cemetery north of Center
Kemma east of Creighton
L'eau Qui Court Cemetery, Niobrara
Morrillville Cemetery between Center & Bloomfield
Ponka Indian Cemetery, Niobrara
Ponca Valley Cemetery, Verdel
Santee Catholic Cemetery, Santee
Winnetoon Cemetery, Winnetoon
Millerboro Cemetery in Antelope county.
There may be some recent burials that are not done, plus a few I could not find.

Thank you! I had never heard of an adopted child - but will let you know if I ever come across any information regarding the child.

You have a memorial for my great-great grandmother's cousin, Hattie Corey Greggers #72067042. I was wondering if you would allow me to copy the photo of her and the photos of her and her husband's headstones - for me to place in my ancestry.com family tree for them?

Thanks so much Gayle for the transfer. I will take good care of her. I have a couple requests if you ever get back up to Santee Catholic Cemetery. For John Campbell & Natalie Wapasha. I'm pretty sure he's related & I know she's my 2 Great's Grandmother. I can't say either even have a headstone or if they do, where it would be, but just in case you're up that way, think about it.
Thanks so much again,

Dear Gayle: Thank you, so very much, for taking a photo of the headstone of my cousin's grave. I remember staying in her home with my mother when I was a little boy while visiting our reservation for a funeral. I truly appreciate your kind efforts. Best wishes, Donald Whipple Fox/Hushasha.

You can either email it to me as other correction and I can copy and paste the obit in, or did you want me to transfer the memorial to you?
|Bryan Anderson||RE: John Frank Greiner|
I'm not a relative either. Perhaps list me as a researcher? Again, John Greiner served in WWI in the same unit as my grandfather, Gunder Anderson.
I came across John Frank Greiner's name in the book, "History of the 89th Division." In the book he is listed as Frank Greiner, which is why it was so hard to find him. He is listed under the section for the dead. John Frank Greiner died with 6 days left in the war - a terrible shame.
Thank you again for your assistance. I think it's important to acknowledge those who died for their country and you've done that.
Sorry to bother you!
Again, have a great day!
|Bryan Anderson||RE: John Frank Greiner|
I am not John Frank Greiner's grandson. I am the grandson of Gunder Anderson. Both Gunder and John served together in Company B, 355th Infantry, 89th Division during WWI.
John was killed in action on 11/5/1918 and my grandfather was severely wounded on 9/14/1918.
With warm regards,
