Morrison Lee just rec'd your email with the "oath of Affiant" dated Dec 1860" listing Grissom Lee's children. Morrison is there. Thank you so much for the proof, source. not sure where you got my request... I just joined the gengathering site and then I also emailed you on the f-a-g site, and then we are also on the family search site together... where ever thank you....and rootsweb too probably LOL
The Lee's Thank you so much for the wonderful pics of my g-g-grandparents... I had just started the "search" and there they were, thanks to you it was a snap.
Are we related? cousins? I did my "link" from my g-g-granmpa--Mitchel Morrison Lee, sorry I have not found any sources except the familysearch... Family Trees that claim Grissom Lee and Mary Polley Glenn are his parents. I do have proof that Mitchell Morrison Lee is the father to my g-gramma Levisa Ann Lee-Taylor...
again thanks for making this one as easy as pie.. If you have anything that proves Grissom and Polley are his parents I would dearly love to receive it. I am a stickler for sources.... thank you Cuz.. Carole Taylor (Lee) Happy NEW YEAR
James Lacey memorial Hello, Do you happen to know the source that gives James Lacey's father as Brig. Gen. John Lacey who married Anastasia Reynolds? The reason I ask is I just read in 'Sketch of the Life and Character of John Lacey...' (1868) that he only had one son, Thomas R. Lacey, and 3 daughters. I know he had a brother James, but he died young. Is it possible this James is descended from one of his other siblings?
Oscar Beneke I'm sorry, I was partly wrong! I saw Audrey tonight and asked her about her dad's name. It was Oscar Henry Walter Beneke. He was called O. W. and I never heard him called Henry, but like she said, they had lots of names in those days!
