If you contact me, please take a moment to say hello, good morning, or hey how are ya. On occasion I get "suggest a correction" notices that are brief, abrupt, and unfriendly in tone and seem more like robot communication than actual human beings. It's a personal pet peeve and I don't react well to those sorts of messages. A little simple human courtesy goes a long way with me.|
I research my family history in southwestern and south central Pennsylvania for the most part, although I live in northeastern New Jersey. Counties of interest include Bedford, Blair, Franklin, Fulton, Somerset, Westmoreland, Cambria, Fayette, Washington, Indiana, and others.
PLEASE: If you request an interaction with me, whether to discuss a memorial or request a transfer, please do not be "Anonymous" and not provide any means to contact you. I recently had someone request a transfer but when I tried to contact the person, was told that the submitter was anonymous and there was no way to leave a public message for him or her. I'm not comfortable with this method of communicating. Thanks.
PLEASE: If you write to me via "Suggest a Correction" PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE provide me with evidence in the form of some kind of documentation for any edits you'd like me to make. This is especially true if I don't already know who you are. It's not possible for me to simply accept what someone out of the blue tells me is valid without sources, documentation, proof or some other compelling argument. Sorry to sound like a grouch, but that's just the way my work goes.

Hi, please remove the scanned obituary from her memorial. It is in the bio
I was very lucky. I was looking around the cemetery around 4:30 pm and the man in charge of the cemeteries for that township was leaving his office which was around the corner. He stopped and asked if he could help me. I told him who I was looking for and he went back to his office and looked up the grave site. He also said somebody plants flowers in the pots every year.

Would you by chance have the photo of the Seven Blair Brothers that Frances M. Blair had from "John Blair and Brothers Alexander, David and William of Westmoreland Co., Pa.?" I only have a very poor photo copy of it that was given to me by my aunt.

You made me laugh!! You're very welcome! B.

Michael, You're welcome for the photo. Sorry that it's not a good photo, but the stone is terrible. I took all of the Mellon stones, two of their children, Samuel d. March 15, 1892 and William S. d. March 17, 1892. Also, Armour and his next two wives if you're interested! Today was beautiful, sunny, 54 degrees, figured I'd better take advantage. Looks like January is going downhill, weather-wise! Hope the weather is good out your way! Barbara
