PLEASE - send corrections through the edit tab and suggest a correction. You can now send LINKS this way. TRANSFER REQUESTS must be made through the edit tab. I have turned off my messages because people kept leaving transfer requests there.

Just a reminder, scanned obits and newspaper articles are not permitted. Check the findagrave rules (FAQs)

I am a "no-dispositions-unknown" contributor.

Find A Grave has grown over the past 15 years. In the beginning there was no linking or transfers. Photo size was very small and the PRIMARY purpose of the site was finding the final disposition of the person. So when you are looking at old memorials, please keep these things in mind.

Thank you for her headstone photo. By any chance, did you see what her husand's name was. The flowers are covering that part of the headstone and I can't read it. I appreciate you taking time to do this for me.

RE: Robert Kessner, Capon Chapel Cemetery
No worries on my end, Kat. Take care of what you need to do. Robert will still be there when things straighten out.

I hope everything is going well.

Take care.

Robert Kessner, Capon Chapel Cemetery
Hi, Kat,

Thank you so very much for looking for Robert's marker. He was a long-time hunting buddy of my husband's.

Directions to his grave from my husband: As you enter the cemetery, Robert's grave is to the right/south at an angle of, he thinks, about 35-40 degrees from the main entrance gate. It is at the bottom of a hill. Unlike almost all other stones in the cemetery, his faces east, so you see the back of it if you enter through the main gate. The most distinguishing feature of the stone is that either Robert or his wife (my husband doesn't remember which was which) has a Washington Redskins helmet, and the other has a Dallas Cowboys helmet.

My husband used to be up there all the time, staying with Cecil and Velda Pugh, who owned the farm adjoining the cemetery, and who now reside in the cemetery. He never thought to get a photo of the marker, and now hasn't been in the area for many years.

Thanks again.

Take care.
