Matilda Woodcock
Hi Chris,
Thank you for all that you do here. I appreciate your work very much. Was just reviewing some information at regarding my third great grandparents, Sarah "Maxwell" Richie [Find A Grave Memorial # 90919473], and her husband, William Richie [Find A Grave Memorial# 90919517], as my cousin, Allison [who is contributor #47469679 here at], just posted Sarah's obituary, which was a great find! Sarah and William had nine children, and Allison and I are methodically researching the descendants of each child. One of their children was Matilda "Richie" Woodcock [Find A Grave Memorial # 62830773], who married William Woodcock [Find A Grave Memorial # 62830827], and both memorials are presently under your care. (Matilda was the sister of my second great grandfather, Thomas M Richie [Find A Grave Memorial # 39603947], and Thomas's profile is maintained by Allison, as are the memorials for Sarah Maxwell Richie and William Richie and many of their other children.) As far as Matilda and William's children, you have in your care (and linked to his parents) George E Woodcock (1872 - 1948) [Find A Grave Memorial # 62830903], his wife, Ina "Phillips" Woodcock (1878 - 1970) [Find A Grave Memorial# 62830923], their son, Ralph Woodcock (1896 1987) [Find A Grave Memorial # 62831090], and Ralph's wife, Lulu (1890 1976) [Find A Grave Memorial # 62831125]. (I have George E in the 1880 U.S. Census listed as born in 1874 to Matilda and William.) I also have Matilda and William in the 1860 U.S. Census and 1870 U.S. Census, listed with their first two children, Daniel Clinton Woodcock (1855 - 1944) [Find A Grave Memorial # 63490050] and his younger sister, Mary Hattie Woodcock (b. 1857) [she must have married after 1880, which is the last census I have for her, and I do not know her married surname]. Daniel married a Mary F (1860 - 1947) [Find A Grave Memorial # 63490011], and she is buried alongside Daniel. You have both of their memorials in your care as well. I would very much appreciate it if you would transfer these eight memorials to my cousin, Allison, as she has an extensive tree plus is caring our Richie memorials here at I also maintain memorials for my Richie great grandparents and their descendants, which I will eventually transfer to Allison because I am much older than she, and I'd like all of our Richie memorials in her care at some point in time. Allison knows that I am making this request, and I am hoping your will approve. Again, thank you very much for your amazing contributions. All my best, Susan

Just wanted to thank you for all the edits for this cemetery. I'm transcribing and photo-documenting same and your assistance is very much appreciated. If you have reason to want to return there and transcribe with me any time, just let me know! I'm trying to record the oldest section, but they continue to connect to relations in other sections hence all the requests. Thanks again. Kathi

RE: Harry Bittner photo
Any chance the famous Bittner ice cream dish at Taggart's is from your family? Did you know you could order a "Bittner"? "Great as the sundaes are, the signature concoction of Taggarts' fountain is something else, known as a Bittner. Invented in the 1930s when a customer dared the staff to make a milk shake so thick that a spoon would stand upright in it, the Bittner is 3/4 of a pound of vanilla ice cream blended with chocolate syrup and heaped with those good roasted pecans."

Royalton Union Cemetery
Thank you for adding the info from Royalton Union Cemetery. I was wondering if you happened to capture a photo of Cora Alexander's stone. It may have just said "Cora" She was the unmarried daughter of Harrison and Elizabeth and from what I can remember it was off the the right ..

Platt Wakelee - Lancaster Rural Cem
Hi Chris,
I've sent through a few edits for the Wakelee folks and I've entered one of their children (Clement) as also being buried in Lancaster Rural. I am working with plot records for Sec O (the old section) for the cemetery as well as a diary that was kept by James Clark (prior) to 1870 in which he recorded most burials. The information for Platt Wakelee indicates he was a Deacon and died March 17, 1854 (not 1851) at the age of 88. Thanks for the edits and adding the section/plot info.

I don't need the original - I trust your eyes! As always, it's a pleasure working with you. Thanks, again, for everything that you do.

Take care.

PS Please say hi to the dogs for me.

RE: Mary Ferree

Thank you. I have not been on this web site and will put it in my tool box. I know the lady who produced this information and hopefully she can identify the sections. They are not the same as the Genealogical Society map.--Storres
