Sorry about the multiple messages - they are getting sent before I click the send button.
1st wife Sophia is #39961583
Daniel Beamer married (2) Olive Force - children Elmer & Frank (Olive is #39961584)
He married (3) Sarah Jane Whitney - children Harmon, Annie & Charles.
I wondered about the memorial for Francis Beamer #95788927 - she died at age 6 months - could the death year be 1857 or 1859?
Also the memorial for Daniel Beamer #9578881. Daniel Beamer died 7 Jun 1911 in Wellandport, ON.
Is there a marker that shows a Daniel Beamer died in 1860? Possibly that is a son? Would be same death year as Sophia.
His son Charles probably died in infancy in early 1880's.

Okay, so we're only shirt-tail cousins.
There are some photos that were taken by others, but you've taken the most. The stats say it is only 37% photographed.
I'm sure you have enough other things to do. As I said, it will be a couple months before I'd be able to get to the cemetery, but I'm more than happy to take photos if you don't get an itch to go out that way before then. I intend to go anyway, because I'd like to check on the exact location of some of the folks in whom I'm particularly interested for any relationship clues that might offer. Let's leave it that I'll plan on photographing the whole cemetery unless I hear from you or see that a bunch of new photos have been posted.
Thanks, again, for all you do.

I hope you are doing well.
I was looking for the children of some folks buried in Greenwood Cemetery in Wilson tonight. I think there is a possibility that several of them are in Halstead-Fillmore, but none of them have marker photos. Because you posted so many of the memorials, I was wondering if you knew if the lack of photos is because no one has had a chance to get out to take them, or because a lot of markers are missing/illegible/whatever. If it's the former, I have camera, will travel. It would probably be a couple months before I could get over there, but I'm more than happy to do some photography.
I was also wondering if you have an Ortt in your ancestry - perhaps a Harriet Ortt who married Charles Siddall? If so, we're distant cousins.
Thanks for any help and/or guidance you can give me. I really appreciate all of the work you've done on find-a-grave.

Bill the Find A Grave # for Benjamin's mother Lillian Pearl NICHOLS Wagner is: 157831570, she is also the mother of Helen DIEZ Fletcher who you also have # 399627730 I don't see a William DIEZ JR. who died in 1907 as an infant BUT if you have him, he too is a child of Lillian & her 1st husband William DIEZ who died in 1916. REASON I'm getting these all completed is for the 200th Anniversary Celebration of OUR Ancestor ROBERT NICHOLS who settled here in 1816 Lillian was one of his descendants. Celebration is being held June 4, 2016 at the Cambria Fire Hall IF you know of anyone related to this PIONEER have them contact me: email@example.com for details

I know what you mean. I entered the sisters and brothers in the bio section of Agnes, too, because of the limitations of the linking. Glad to help. We're still trying to decode Agnes' headstone but we're having great fun doing it on Cemetery Oddities on Facebook. I actually volunteer at Oakwood so I just have to get into their books and do a little detective work to solve that little headstone mystery.
My name is Chris Snyder. I am a fellow Find A Grave member from Marshallville Ohio. My wife and I are traveling to New York this weekend for a little get-away and also to see some family history.
My 4x great grandfather was Lyman Whittaker - born 1805 in New Hampshire, died 1873 in Porter. He and his wife are buried in the Tower Cemetery. - My first question- is this cemetery accessible since it appears to be behind someone's house?
Lyman came to Porter in 1840 and was a carpenter.
My 3x great grandfather was John L Whittaker - buried at Oakland Rural cemetery.
born 1830 in New Hampshire
died 1882 while visiting my 2x great grandfather in Cleveland
his wife was Emeline Huntington Whittaker - I have been able to locate her grave
According to the source below- John was a town constable in Porter for 18 years.
Biographical and portrait encyclopedia of Niagara County, New York
Son Elbert moved to Cleveland and is buried there with my family
Son Fletcher Whittaker married an Esther Bale, owned a grocery store and was postmaster in Lewiston according to several records on Ancestry.com
I am also trying to locate their graves.
Any assistance, advice, recommendations would be appreciated.
I know this is short notice. I'm hoping to visit the Porter Historical Society while in town.
