I have been researching cemeteries in Chesterfield county, VA for the past 25 years. My purpose is to honor all who have gone before. With that thought in mind, all are welcome to use my headstone photos. I ask only that they be used with respect.|
Please take a moment to stop by my mom, Lori's , memorial and leave a flower. I was so blessed to have her for 8 years.
Note: Please, please, please use the Edit feature located in the upper right corner of memorials to ask for corrections, etc. I try my best to fulfill these asap. Thanks!

Basic math results in a birth year of 1799.
It's not as if we provided bogus data for this memorial - the 2008 photo you took of the memorial's headstone clearly provides the information which you are just now questioning (i.e., "Aged 54 years" means he was in his 55th year of life). So, we wonder why you would now second-guess how old he 'actually' was at death. We do not have an exact date of birth for him and apparently, neither did those who prepared the details for his grave/headstone (else, why not inscribe it on the marker?).
We really don't understand the creation of issue with this. We trust what they explicitly etched on his headstone - if that's not valid 'enough' for you, then we're at a loss to (re)submit any better evidence. Do as you wish, Rachel. Regardless, both Blackman and us will sleep well ;-)

You are quite welcome. She must have been one of those persons that brought a smile just thinking about her. I rarely get misty-eyed reading an obit, but that was so beautiful and needed to pass it on. Proud to have her as a cousin and thanks for posting it!

Rachel - I can take credit for the picture, but the flowers were already in place. Clay

Could you please remove your picture from #37868602
my uncle Robert Arthur Snell so I can add more family pictures? Thank you for your time.
|Traci's Mom||Token you left for Traci Fields|
Thank you very much for the token you left for my angel daughter Traci. She was a wonderful gift from GOD, and she's in my heart and mind every single day. Her passing has left major holes in the hearts of her family and friends.
I appreciate you helping to reach my goal of 5,000 tokens by her birthday, November 20th. Actually, thanks to you and other findagravers, so far today Traci has received 6,026 flowers/tokens. That makes my family and I extremely happy. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
I'm thankful and blessed for your kindness. GOD bless you for your heavenly heart.
I am so overwhelmed with all the findagrave friends requesting flowers/tokens for my Traci. Thank you ever so much!
This is something I wrote for Traci:
It was a cold, quiet night at the cemetery. The snow was falling gently to the ground. The only sound that could be heard was the whistling of the wind. Off in the distance I suddenly heard the tiny sound of jingling bells. I looked around and wondered where the life was in the stillness of this cemetery.
As I gazed around, I saw a ray of moonbeam shining down on a small Christmas tree.
I thought to myself, "This is where the life is in the cemetery!"
Ring the bells this holiday season in memory of those you love.
Sharon (Traci's mom)
