Fremont Cemetery
Shouldn't the Fremont(NC) cemetery be listed as being in Wayne County as opposed to Johnston county? According to the maps it is in Wayne county.

Benjamin Jackson
Dear Deborah,
Thank you for the grave photo of Benjamin and Annie Jackson at Rest Haven Cemetery in North Carolina. They are relatives of mine on my mother's side.

Thank you again. If your research ever requires headstones on the eastern end of Long Island, please do not hesitate to ask; I will be happy to help!

Take care,
Joi

RE: Lula Barnes Duplicate Memorial
If there is no Fremont cemetery, you really need to contact Find A Grave and let them know about it since othera might keep on posting burials there not knowing about it. Just send them a note at edit@findagrave.com.

That's a problem with Find A Grave in that lots of people all over the country scan death records from obits (which may contain errors), or old death records, or old books showing where someone is buried when in fact they aren't there, or the cemetery name has changed, etc. If they can't find the cemetery they'll create one when in fact the cemetery might be known with a different name today.

There's a cemetrey here in Guilford County, NC (New Garden Friends) which is an old Quaker cemetery from the late 1700s and very much active even today. But, people are continually posting requests for photos of grave markers before 1800, but they don't exist! They may be there, but the stones have long since withered away, or were never grave markers but just field rocks, etc. There's even British soldiers buried there but no graves or evidence of them other than history which says they were buried there.
