I love genealogy. My husband and I traveled to find the gravesites of our relatives and were so thrilled when we found them. We took pictures and made memorial pages for our family albums so when I found Find A Grave I was happy to be able to add them for future family researchers. What a great idea! I hope I can help someone else find who they are looking for. Credit FAG, it is a wonderful site.
I have been trying to find out about my birth mother all my life. But she was adopted so I did not know her birth name, only her adopted name, then her marriage to my father. On Ancestry.com, this Alberta Mae Wall is listed also as Alberta Mae George, and also as Alberta Mae Brigman. Are you any relation to this woman? And if so, do you know if it could be the former Alberta Mae George Brigman. We were from North Carolina, yet here she is in GA if this is her. I would be grateful for an answer. I have been searching my whole life for her.
Are you related to Billy Columbus Martin (#99038476) and Betty Jean Tyson Martin (#99038547)? I saw you had added their memorials, and I was wondering if we were related. Billy and Jean were my husband's grandparents. If we're related and you want to keep their memorials, I would love to get in contact with you to share information to add to their memorials.
If you're not related, would you mind transferring their memorials to me? My number is 48990301. Looking forward to hearing from you either way!
RE: Handley Carlisle Harrison and Ruth Watkins Harrison Thank you for your search. I do already have that information, but it is so kind of you to help out. Our family lore held that George died soon after his first wife (they lived in Palestine Texas) and thus their orphaned children were raised by George's brother, Jilson in louisiana. But about two years ago I found George in the census records remarried to Susie Carlisle and with another family. the details on his death certificate confirm that it is the same person. It looks like none of the three children George and Susie had bore any children of their own tho. I was hoping to find a descendant that might be able to tell what the other half of the story was....I wonder if they knew about his first family and that they had half siblings. Well, anyway, thanks to your findagrave memorial for Handley, I at least now know that he did marry, tho later in life.
John Enith Griner His actual name was Johnnie Enith Clayton Griner. But he went by J.E. Do you live in or around Berrien County? His parents "Johnnie & Arlie" are buried at the Riverside Baptist Church Cemetery located in the Riverside community of Berrien County (approx. 10 miles East of Nashville, GA.)
