I was born in Fabens, Texas and have lived in both New Mexico and Arizona all my life. I have had so many hobbies and interests that I can't begin to tell you which one I've enjoyed the most. Horses were a great love because they could carry me to the tops of high mountains. I spent 15 years teaching 4H classes where I worked with young children. I was a rockhound, a saddle maker specializing in ladies sidesaddles, a gardener, avid hunter. I always loved photography and got my first camera at 6 yeas old. I love old cemeteries and lone graves and research. I enjoy southwest history. I used to go to reenactments. Well to make the story short, I love life. My parents always told me that a busy mind was a happy mind. Mine has certainly been happy.|

I also see that you reside in Fabens. I worked there for a year but reside in El Paso. My Grandmother had two Aunts (Maiden name CARTA) that called El Paso home and are buried here. Are you possibly descended from one of them?
Thank you for the memorial post on John Carta's page. I noticed you used CARTER as his last name. Perhaps you have the wrong person his last name is CARTA. My grandmother, also a Carta, also stated that he died in France but apparently is buried in England. Thank You!
|Nelson Patterson||James Patterson|
I have read your memorials for James Patterson and Ermeline McCorkle. I found the information very helpful but I noticed two apparent discrepancies in dates.
1.James Patterson is shown as arriving in Philadelphia in 1802. Should that be 1702?
2. In the James memorial, he marries Ermeline McCorkle in 1738. In the Ermeline memorial, she is born in 1730 and marries James in 1760 (James would have been 61 yrs old).
Could you please clarify these dates for me.

Yes, this looks great now. I have sent edits to change the childrens' links to the original memorial, so you should go ahead and delete 62548356 to remove the duplication. Let me know if you have any questions, I appreciate your willingness to work on this. :-)

You have ownership of two memorial pages for Meda Brown: 31419570 and 62548356. Please combine the two memorials and retain the original (which I transferred to your care awhile back). Please let me know if you have any questions, thanks!

Charles is buried in the Fairview Cemetery in Bastrop, Bastrop County, Texas under Find A Grave
# 36410973. It took me several years to track him down. I also research Texas Ranger gravesites. This will be my last year doing this. Keep Up The Good Work!!!!!

Hi...I was looking at them b/c they are my 5G grandparents & one of the bios says they married in 1760, and the other one says 1738. Also, James was born in 1699, but came to America in 1802? or 1702...just wondering...please check. Thanks for your research :-)

That's awesome! I'm just putting out whatever other info I find as I digitize old newspapers from the Globe-Miami area. Anything that might help someone connect to a relative. Looks like you're good.
