Bio and Links
Bio Photo Researching my ancestors and their descendants:

Paternal: Kirby, Christoffersen, Follett, Niles, Morrill, Stokes, Hansen, Gibson, Woolf, Irons, Jorgensen, Maternal: Hamilton, Hester, Jones, Owens, Chandler, Copeland, Bartlett and Judd (among others).

I've also created many memorials for unrelated people and total strangers including many from local cemeteries in New Mexico. If you want a transfer for any of these, let me know.

My fathers side of the family are largely pioneers who joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Mom's side were Baptists and Methodists and a few colorful characters from the southern United States.

I hope the legacy of my memorials will enable others to find and know their ancestors, to preserve our history and to honor those who have gone before us and made us who we are.

Thanks to the many photo volunteers, folks who have added details and links and others who have collaborated in this effort.

If you have corrections, additional information, pictures or would like to add links, let me know and your or I can add them to the memorials I have created.

You are free to use any photo I have added for person use or for family history.

Transfer ownership
I was wondering if you would be so kind to transfer ownership of the following memorials? The one is my grandfather and the other my great grandpa.
63971729 Melvin Oscar Christoffersen
34497639 Oscar Christoffersen

Is your Christoffersen line through Christian Christoffersen and Georgine Marie Jorgensen?

My sister in law Betty and I were wondering if you would like some of your family history on the Owens? You can get in touch with me at charlie1208@aol.com
Best wishes,

Alton Orr 100279703
Your request to remove Alton Orr's parents as shown and replace them. with 18741747 and 18741752. is a contradiction to my wife's family records. She is an Orr.

Gividen
If you have any other Gividen memorials in the Evergreen Cemetery in Springville, Utah, could you please assign them to me? One of them is Floyd Thomas Gividen.

Raymond, Jonathan W., Lizzie, Mattie Carolyn, P.K., Sarah (Rowden), Shirley Levon, two sons of David A. and Lizzie, Virgie M., and Willie Mae Ramsey, do you know them?

RE: Mary Emma Hester Johnson
I assume you mean "Buck", not "Butch". I did see the U.S. Census for 1920 shows him and Mary E. living in "Justice Precinct 8, Brown (county, I guess), Texas.

I hope that rumor that he murdered Mary is not true. My 92 year old mother-in-law who was Margie Lott (before she married) is Buck's great-granddaughter. Eliza Jane Johnson, daughter of Buck by his first wife, Ester VanDoran, was her grandmother. Tarice Johnson in that cemetery was actually Buck's second wife. I have searched and searched and cannot find a grave for Esther (or Ester) VanDoran Johnson.

Thanks for your prompt reply. I guess on some of these things, we will just have to keep guessing.

Mary Emma Hester Johnson
I am researching my husband's maternal ancestors. On the Find A Grave page for Mary Emma Hester Johnson in the Lost Creek Cemetery in Brown County Texas, you have a note that says this lady was buried in an unmarked grave next to her husband's first wife. He was W.S. "Buck" Johnson (1852-1932). From what I have been able to find on Ancestry.com mostly using Census data since the trees have all sorts of varying information, he was married at least 2 times. First to Ester (or Esther) VanDorn, then to Tarice Duncan (who is buried in this cemetery) and then, at least according to information on Find A Grave, to this Mary Hester (formerly Hamilton). My mother-in-law says that when she visited this cemetery years ago, that Ester was buried here next to Buck (Buck is her great-grandfather). She believes that Buck was first married to Esther Van Dorn (and I have some evidence for this) and then to Teresa Van Dorn. It is possible that she is mistaken about Teresa. So (sorry for this long discourse) my question to you is, where did you get the information about Mary Emma Hester Johnson? I very much appreciate any help you can send me. Susan
