Hello fellow Findagravers,

This is a great place to meet distant cousins and to share info and memorials. If I have any memorials that you would like me to transfer to you, just go to the EDIT tab and send me a note along with your Findagrave number. However, I will not transfer most of the memorials of my line or my wife's line.

Be blessed, Carl

Mount Rose Cemetery
Hi Carl- While researching on John C. Moore #37630032 & his wife Ardella F.(Ashcraft) Moore #37630031 I noticed that on their death certificates it states that each one was buried at Greenlawn Cemetery in Moundsville,Marshall Co,WV & not Mount Rose Cemetery which is also in Moundsville. I see there is no headstone picture from Mt.Rose, could this be why? From documentation it looks like it should be Greenlawn Cemetery. What are your thoughts. Deborah

Levi Seltzer

I read your message about Levi. I found info on him. He and Julia lived in Pennsylvania. When a man named Lewis Reider and his wife, Tracy, died in 1853, Levi took one of Lewis' 6 children. Her name was Catherine Reider and she married Jacob Cook. You can find them in Missouri on Find A Grave. Anyway, Catherine Cook's obit explains all of this. Not long after Catherine's parents' deaths, Levi moved to Missouri, where he and his wife raised Catherine.

Carl, Thank you for the flowers & note left on our sweet Grandson's memorial. It is five years today, times have been hard since that day. It will never be the same again but we are managing. Every day that passes we are healed a little more. Our daughter, JJ's mother, is pregnant again and we hope this will help her to heal as well. We all await the day that we will be reunited with our sweet little guy. Blessings to you & your family.

An Isabelle Gray mystery
Hi Carl - I'm afraid I'd lost your email address so this is the only way I could think to contact you.

I was trying to tie up a few loose ends, and one of them is Jack Bronston.

John Hisel Gray was lifelong friends with his Army buddy Frank Forsyth. Frank's daughter clearly remembers Isabelle, with Bedie, John, and their children piling into a car and heading off looking for work. I would guess this was sometime in the early 30's. Jack, however, was not in the group and she does not know where he was. I have not been able to find any record of death for him.

Do you have any idea what happened to him?

Samuel Smith
Hello Carl,
I am the great x4 grandaughter of Samuel and Mary Smith. I wanted to thank you for adding a picture of Samuel. I added one of him but it is from a book my mother got at a Smith family reunion many years ago and it is not very clear. I've never seen such a good picture of him, so I thank you!

Jenny Martin Hartin 1830 census
Hi Carl- I think I've just found Jenny Hartin in the 1830 census. In Giles County, TN a JC Hartin (he is listed as Harter in the Ancestry record but the original US census looks like Hartin) has a woman 60-69 years old in the house. I thought you would like to know this. :-) Best, Dana
