Please take up-close, careful shots of photos on graves! Many may never been seen again, after you leave, as they are quickly disappearing. A family may have no other photo, and may not even know that one existed, if you pass it by.
>> To get a duplicate of mine deleted quickly, while logged in, send a SAC with just the words "Oops, a dupe!" These should go to a separate folder for daily removal. Otherwise they will have to wait while I shovel through other SACs. -------
I am particularly interested in photo-ceramics, and adding maiden names. Also family links! You may send your information via SAC (Suggest A Correction Link, under the Edit link, on each memorial's upper right corner).
Please, no drama. I report, ignore and block, rude or offensive communications.
Due to abuse of the function, I do not accept SACs from visitors. You will need to log in as a member to contact me.
When sending me corrections, please don't ask me to "see photo" for dates, name corrections, and so on, but spell out the change or addition. For locations, please also give a county, especially if the city or town has more than one instance in a state.
I will add pertinent information from census lists, but not the whole list. This is often redundant information and makes for an entry that is difficult to read.
I would prefer you not upload death certificates and leave that space available for items like photos of the person and marker, when they become available, unless this is an item that is not findable by online researchers themselves. Thank you for your time and energy, and happy graving!
------------- "The dead claim the living and tell us how to live. It is imperative that we listen and adhere to their sanction. We are required to work toward probity and comport ourselves as though our lost ones are there with us. This call to virtue proves efficacious over time. We send messages to a spirit and get no material answer. There is only the assumption that she is there and we are here and we must not falter at our task." | |
