You've added photos of headstones (separate for each). However, tried to find headstones today at Maple Grove cemetery in Narka, KS and was unsuccessful. I did find headstones for a number of other McChesney family members. Another interesting fact is on Find A Grave website for this cemetery, there are no other McChesney's list other than Elmer and Letitia McChesney. Am very confused and hoped you would be able to help clear this matter up. Appreciate anything you can do for me. Vergie McChesney Allen

Thanks for looking boomer. I do have a death certificate that does indicate he was buried there in Olean Cemetery 2-28-1943.
Thank you very much for locating his grave and taking a photo of his gravestone marker.
Very much appreciated.

Thank you so much for the headstone photo of my ancestor, Martin V. KEEVER, at Jennings Cemetery. I truly appreciate your time and willingness to help others :o)
|DR||RE: RE Alice Macauley|
I am exceedingly sorry to have inadvertantly stepped on your toes, Boomer, I was unaware that anyone had claimed Alice B. Macauley as I'd only put her memorial up the week before. I was researching the Britland family at the library Saturday morning as I am trying to find the connection between the Britland's and the Blight's. Unbeknownst to me, you were obviously doing your own leg work on the Britland's as well. I had all of the Britland's memorial pages up on my computer so I could see the information I had posted on their pages, as other than William J., the other family members died outside of Nevada County. When I came across some new info, I posted it along with the photos of each of the Britland's graves and I guess this is how your very kind efforts were adversely affected. Who could have ever dreamed that two people were working on the same family at precisely the same moment in time?
Would you happen to know anything about the family connection? I've yet to find it. William Britland was originally buried in Pine Grove Cemetery in Nevada City, and had been in the saloon business there. The Blight family were former owners of The Owl Tavern in Grass Valley. Obviously there is some familiar connection since William Britland and family are with the Blight's in Old Elm Ridge Cemetery. I do believe that William was moved to be with his family for all eternity, as the Britland plot at Pine Grove has no stones present.
At any rate, I thank you for your diligent efforts to help keep Nevada County's cemeteries from falling into oblivion, as the passing of time will eventually bring about more losses to this important part of our history. What we've already lost through vandalism and mother nature is sad to imagine.
P.S. I have known for quite some time that there is a request up for Cyrus McMath in Old Elm Ridge Cemetery, and in order to hopefully save you some leg-work this time, will say that I just finished taking pictures of every stone present in Old Elm Ridge last week, and his is not amongst them. While looking for Cyrus, I decided to take pics of everything on the way, as I would be looking at every grave in the process, I was pretty sure Cyrus was actually buried elsewhere. I have posted a problem to that request, as well as a suggestion of where I believe he was actually buried; Odd Fellows. Also, I am taking cemetery pictures to aid in my own research, and hope to provide copies of them to The Doris Foley Library for Historical Research, when I finish the index I am currently working on. I am on dial-up internet, and have uploaded some pics using it, but it takes far too long to do all of them in this manner. Thus the reason I uploaded the Britland info & pics whilst I was working on them at the library Saturday, they have WiFi. Again, I am sorry this created a problem and thanks again for your kind effort.
