I'm entering memorial pages to remember those who have completed their journey here. I believe the Find A Grave burial registry helps us to preserve history and is an extremely useful genealogical tool. I especially love to hear from folks who have found a family member or friend through a memorial that I created, that gives real meaning to this work. If you have any corrections or additions to suggest on memorials that I have created, I will take care of them, usually within a week. If you want any records transferred to you that are not in my family, please do not hesitate to ask.

To my friends who have decorated the graves of my precious daughter, Tammy Jo Modglin, and my Mom and Dad, Dorothy Darlene Brown and Carmel Garth Brown, and my sister, Judith Ann "Judy" Brown, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your kindness is very much appreciated, as I decorate also for as many as I can, too.

God Bless All Of You...

RE: Phillip J Hofherr
Hello,

Philip J Hofherr emigrated to Indiana in 1851 from Germany, after the death of his first wife Maria Josepha Sauer in 1850 in Waibstadt, Germany. My wife is a born Hofherr, we live in Waibstadt.
There are 39 Hofherr-graves in Hawk cemetry, Muncie. Are these all decendents of Philip J.?
Is Philip J Hofherr the founder of the now destroyed Hofherr Chapel? We would be interested in details (images, ...) of the undestroyed Hofherr Chapel.

Re: Elmira Churchill
Thanks for all the information. I will contact the library (at least try) tomorrow. I also found the historical society for Allegheny County and will contact them also.

You have been extremely helpful. I live in Washington State and would not no where to even begin without finding your find a grave posting for the Churchill's at Mt. Pleasant in Allegheny County, New York. The further information you sent today was very interesting. The Elmira I am looking for was born in Chittenden Vermont in 1846. I certainly need more verification to be sure if this is the Elmira I am searching for, but everything is looking good so far.

Yes, I would be happy to take transfers of the Churchill's at Mt. Pleasant....My number is 46787212. When I get this all worked out I will be easier to add more information to their pages.

Thanks again
Jan

RE: Katie Molenaar
Hi Glenda,

Thanks very much for the very fast and definite transfer of Katie Schoon Molenaar's Find A Grave memorial, to which I added meanwhile a lot of info.
Yes, I would like very much if you'll transfer all "your" Molenaars (= Miller) and Schoons (= Beautiful or Clean) to me.

RE: Samuel H. Hefner
My biggest question to you is are you a relative?
I have considered transferring them so I could work in that line, but I need to do some more research before I do that.

Elmira L. Churchill
I saw your memorial page for Elmira in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Allegheny County New York. I have been searching for an Elmira/Almira Churchill
maiden name Bump. This Elmira is buried in the same cemetery has her son Waldo. The Elmira I am searching for died after 1915. She was listed in a city directory with her husband in Macon Georgia that year. Hmmmm, the plot thickens.

I was wondering if you have any contact information for this cemetery? I was wondering if you knew if there is a sexton available, etc.

Thanks for your work with Find A Grave.
