Additional info and corrections are very welcome. Feel free to use my headstone photos too (such as they are, ha).|
If anyone wants to take over the management of their family's memorial from me, just ask; don't be shy. As long as you're related to the deceased, that's good enough for me. Please remember to include your Find A Grave ID number when requesting the transfer.
My contributions to Find-A-Grave are two-fold. First, I like to provide information for other genealogists in their hunt for new data on their family. Secondly, I strive to create a nice memorial tribute for the deceased so that family and friends can visit and leave messages perhaps. Everyone should be remembered.
Please do not post complete obituaries on my memorials, especially in the Leave Flowers spot. Paraphrasing the main points from an obituary is great, and I'm happy to add that if you forward it to me using the Edit tab.
Also, please do not simply guess where someone is buried. Find A Grave will lose its value and creditability if slipshod postings continue to proliferate. We are the spokespeople for the deceased; let's serve them well.
From the Amador Ledger of November 2, 1900
On the gate of the cemetery in Rio de Janeiro is a notice in Spanish, French, and English that no dogs are admitted unless led by the owner. This is how the announcement is made in English: "Noble mesdames and gentlemen who may desire a dog to follow in this tombsyard will be permission unless him drawn by a cable round him throttle."

I don't think I can maintain it at this point in time. Still too raw and painful. When I found his memorial on here last night, I had to stop everything I was doing because I was crying too hard. I'm sure at some point I can maintain his page but not right now. I thank you so much for doing it. My mama was touched by the photo with the flag on it. It means a lot to her. We miss him desperately and each day gets easier but this is the first holiday without him and it's been really difficult. :(
As for his information, I can provide that for you. He was born in Calico Rock, Arkansas on February 2, 1936 He passed away March 7, 2014 in Sacramento, CA. His daddy was James Floyd Woodcock and his mama was Zelma Delila Woodcock. If there is anything else you need, please ask. I'll be happy to find the information.
Thanks again, Kathie. Your kindness means more to me than these words can even begin to express.

Thank you for posting the memorial for my dad. It means so much to me. I live in WA state so I can't visit his grave as much as I would like to. The photo you posted helps. I appreciate you for what you do for those grieving. Thanks again.

Kathie- Thank you for the offer to transfer Thomas's and Wilhelmina's memorials. I would love to have their memorial, even though my relationship may not be a lot closer than yours(Wilhelmina and Thomas's daughter, Lillian was married to my grandfathers brother,John Cox). Thanks- Don

These folks appear to be your great grandparents. I have transferred them to you. Also, if I have any other members of your family or friends, I would be happy to transfer them to you. Happy Thanksgiving.

Thank you for the information regarding Mary Jane Bagnall. Is she a distant relative? I always like to transfer memorials to family members.

Hi Kathie - I don't have the exact dates, but his mother was living in Roseville as early as 1940 and lived there until she passed in 1997.
