Bio and Links
Bio Photo This is the officially authorized Contributor Page of the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War. We have joined Find-A-Grave.com as a contributor so that we can create and oversee a repository for memorials of Union Veterans who are not already managed by other Find-A-Grave contributors. We appreciate and welcome transfers from anyone who desires to place a memorial to a Union Veteran in our care.

We also welcome any biographical information that other contributors might wish to send us concerning the memorials in our care.

We will transfer memorials to other contributors in accordance with Find-A-Grave guidelines and are willing to consider the transfer of any particular memorial to any relative of that deceased soldier. If you wish us to transfer a memorial to you, send us a request through the Edit feature on the memorial you wish to acquire with an explanation of how you are related to the deceased veteran and why you desire a transfer. We reserve the right to deny requested transfers that are outside of Find-A-Grave guidelines for any reason.

If YOU are a member of the SUVCW or its allied orders and are interested in helping us with this project, we would appreciate receiving an email from you.

The Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War is a fraternal organization dedicated to preserving the history and legacy of heroes who fought and worked to save the Union. Organized in 1881 and chartered by Congress in 1954, we are the legal successor to the Grand Army of the Republic.

Transfer and a big thank you
Hello Gentlemen,
Thank you for your generosity in transferring:
William Beamer # 9733512
to my care. I have successfully connected him with his parents, both wives and eight of his nine children.
As I receive more information, I will add it to Our shared memorial.
With sincerest appreciation,
Marcia

Wonderful thing you are doing
Wow, you just sent me an edit. I have been working on locating veterans in Cemeteries so they are properly id'ed as such.
Keep up the good work.

If you could also add his cause of death I would appreciate it. I will remove my memorial. Thank you.
