|Bio and Links|
I've decided to change my profile to reiterate my feelings on transfers, additions, and corrections to the memorials that I manage:|
In fairness to those who may have closer ties to a memorial, please read the Transfer Guidelines prior to requesting a transfer. I will now transfer only within the stated guidelines. Please do not ask me to make a bulk transfer of names. I will make exceptions if I am personally doing work for you. You do not need to "manage" every memorial that is part of your family tree. Remember that this site is for locating burials, not building a tree. There are other websites that are more suitable for that purpose. I will be happy to make any links and corrections. PLEASE use the SAC feature ("Edit" tab). Please do not ask me to do links to any "Burial Unknown". Do your homework, first. Please feel free to add photos where appropriate, as you do not need to manage the memorial to add photos.
I will not cut and paste raw data from census records, death indices, etc. A nicely written bio is preferable.
Please consider using the "virtual cemetery" feature on this site to keep track of relations.
Since March 2013 I have taken over management of memorials in Inglewood Park Cemetery from Chris Mills. Please continue to send suggestions for corrections using the "Edit" tab and I will get to them as soon as I can.
Please have your messages enabled if you want to correspond with me. I will not use my personal e-mail on this site.

Thanks, both for your comments on my site, and for your vigilance in looking out for stolen photos. I sincerely appreciate both.
And, yes, the Hope School situation is beyond a tragedy. It seemed like everyone involved knew it would happen, and were unable to prevent it. All we can do at this point is try to remember and honor the victims, and make sure nothing like this ever happens again.

I caught that earlier and have got it fixed. Thank you for your help.

|Cinder||RE: Wilfred Ringer|
Hi there. Yes...was going to contact you although was sidetracked! I am still researching maternal side of the family, in addition, to assisting my sister with the paternal side. Wilfred (née Wilford) was the child of Emil & Hattie Ringer (Hattie was my paternal grandfather's sister.) Much more to this story...Hattie passed away in 1918 of influenza during the epidemic that killed over 6 million people. Hattie's husband cared for Wilfred until he died in 1920. We have been unable to locate any legal document to verify that Mary Jacobs actually adopted Wilfred. Biological parents are buried on the same plot as Wilfred in unmarked graves with a premature baby buried with each parent. We are sorting out information and have the death certificate of each premature child. My sister is in the process of replacing unmarked headstones. Emil, Hattie and Wilfred can rest in peace since family finally found them. Strange...I attended Marina del Rey Junior High School and my father worked on Manchester Blvd, in Inglewood in 1970 or 80's. Thank you for your e-mail regarding Wilfred. Am feeling peaceful knowing you will be at the cemetery looking over the situation. If you have any questions regarding this matter, please contact me.

Changed. I also added her parents and Margaret's parents and husband in the same cemetery.
|baileydg||Ralph & Margaret Averill|
It was great of you to take the pictures of Ralph & Margaret along with Cyrus. Based on what I could find on ancestry.com, Ralph Harold Averill was the son of Cyrus. He was born May 3, 1886 at Lompoc, Santa Barbara, California, USA and was a telegraph operator in the US Navy stationed in San Francisco. He died on April 10, 1975 in Los Angeles, Los Angeles, California, USA. I couldn't find Margaret. Ralph was married to Ethel Orseli on September 2, 1916 in Grant, Pierce, Washington, USA, but she died on January 19, 1938 in Seattle, King, Washington, USA. So Ralph must have married Margaret after the death of his first wife. Since your picture shows her birth year as 1902, she has surely passed away, but they haven't recorded her death on the gravestone. I wonder if she is even buried beside Ralph. There is an interesting writeup of the life of Cyrus on ancestry.com that I could send to you if you are interested.
Anyway, thanks for the good work you do and best wishes,
