Retired from Geary County USD #475 in 2008 after 26 years of service. Grew up in Junction City, KS. Take photos at area cemeteries and post them to Find A Grave. Glad to transfer memorials upon request.|
Beneath the boughs of ancient trees
A little flag defies the breeze
And every carvings's stark relief
Reminds us of a day of grief.
The flowers in the vase soon wilt
And over time, the markers tilt;
The letters on a stone may blur
But even after decades stir
The memories of those before,
Of how they'd smile and laugh and roar.
And standing on this gusty hill
I think that they are with us, still.

I reread my message to you. I wasn't clear which one was married to Lillie Fincham Walstrom. Lillie is Harley 's wife ; not William Walstrom.
Sorry I wasn't more clear.

|Lova ||William Walstrom Mem#69046551|
Would you add one more of his children to his family link?
It is his son Harley "Leslie" Walstrom- - mem. #16805783 He is buried in Idaho with only a mortuary marker.
I am a distant descendant of his wife Lillie M. Fincham Walstrom (who is buried in Kansas).
Really appreciate it.
I am Lova Fincham Kraft

Could her maiden name be Schlesener and not Schlessner. Her sons memorial says ion the obit Schlesener and that is a very common name in the area.

|MGlazeHart||RE: Thierer family|
Thank you for the Thierer family transfers. I will work on them. Also will search for the Frank Thierer in Humboldt. It is possible that he is related. I know that Frank was used as a first name in this family but went by his middle name and a Frank was also used as a middle name and only used the "F". I'll see what I can I find.
Thanks again, MGlazeHart
