Bio and Links
Bio Photo Hi, my husband (Steve Patterson) and I are interested in our genealogy histories and enjoy the "detective process" of finding our ancestors. After unexpectedly finding images of my great-grandparents' tombstones on the web, I was thrilled - I'd never seen their tombstones before. This helped us to realize that documenting cemeteries on the web is a wonderful way to help other genealogists find their relatives. We enjoy this tremendously and have started planning our vacations around which cemeteries we want to visit.

I am leaning on the tombstone of Alpheus Osborn, my great-great-great grandfather who lived in Fairfax, Iowa.

If you are a close relation to any people that we have listed and would like us to transfer the memorial to you, please let us know. Be sure to include the CEMETERY NAME where they are located and your FAG MEMBERSHIP NUMBER!

Family names that we are interested in are:
Missouri, Polk County: McDaniel, Phipps.
Kansas, Cowley, Sedgwick, Sumner Counties: Kessinger, Cooper, Green, Brenton, Wilsey, Osborn.
Kansas, Rice County: Greenbank, Crawford, Wilsey.

RE: James W. Kelly
Hi Cathy,

Thank you for transferring the memorial. The number is #30532338.

James married Bertha Ola Patterson on January 4, 1899 in Franklin County Indiana. I have traced that line of Patterson all the way back to Arthur Patterson, born 1659 in Norther Ireland, died July 3, 1765 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

If you would like, I can give you access to view my page where you will find all of the Patterson's related to Bertha, Jame's wife and my great grandmother. Perhaps there would be useful information there for your husband.

my personal email is, please feel free to contact me there.

Thank you for finding my great grandfather's gravesite. If you would like to release the site, I will update with current information. If your husband is a Patterson, then we are related.

Ludwig Berg - Kansas
I wanted to thank you for photographing my great grandpas grave. Ludwig Berg died in 1896 and is buried at Mankato, KS. He was born in 1852 in Norway.

I am told that he died due to a tragic accident. He and his father-in-law were traveling in Kansas during a storm by horse/buggy and were crossing a train track. They were hit by a train and killed.

As per the 1880 census he and his wife lived in Burr Oak, Jewell, KS. His wife, Rachel Mattie Everson Berg (b. 1857), left Kansas after his death and moved to Iowa to have her mother-in-law help raise their children.

Ive been trying to locate any newspaper article that might provide details on the accident. If you know of any information, please let me know. Thank you again for your photograph.

You have Barbara Ellen Koehler Young (1862 - 1894)as his mother. She is his aunt.

Barbara LENA Young Keylor (1866 -1926) is his mother. Barbara LENA Young married Barbara Ellen Keylor's brother Samuel A Keylor (1857 -1932).

A tale of two Barbaras. Barbara Lena Young married into the Keylors. Barbara Ellen Keylor married into the Youngs.

Wallace coombs
Hi Kathy,
I see where you added a memorial for Wallace Coombs, birth dates and death dates unk in Miltonbvale KS cemetery. Where did you find out about him? I wonder because my great grandmother was married to a Wallace Coombs but we were always told he died in Oklahoma. However she had ties to Ottawa County KS. Thanks Donna
