Bio and Links
Bio Photo When you send me enhancements/corrections and you do not provide the source, I will do a search to verify your information. If I cannot find a source, I will then do the correction, but will mention your name as the provider of that information.

Feel free to use my photos for your genealogy research, but please mention that you got the photo from findagrave.
Also, thank you to everyone who follows through and makes the enhancements that I send.

I use a mirror to reflect the sunlight off of the stones lettering. I have a cheap $10.00 mirror that is about 4 feet high. I can hold the mirror in one hand, and take the photo with the other hand.

A complete and searchable listing of the Hale collection is now available on ancestry.com. To find it, click on "search" at the top of the screen. Bring down the drop down list, and click on "card catalog". Then, in the search box, type in "Hale". Then click on it, and you can do a name search. Be advised that not all names come up.

RE: Juliet G. Talerday #131105489
There are some articles with her name listed as Mrs. Juliette M.G. Talerday in the Los Angeles Herald. She was involved in the Women's Christian Temperance Union.
1910 Federal Census shows her living in Los Angeles, lists a date of birth as 1854(?) in Connecticut.
She is in the 1888 City Directory for New Haven CT
as Juliette M. Talerday, widow of Isaac.
in the 1890 Directory she has moved to Buffalo, NY
In 1895 she is in Los Angeles
Looks like the only Juliet/Juliette Talerday to me

RE: Duplicates
Hi Irma,

FYI: I finally got to delete that duplicate Amelia Allen. I'm not even sure what was road-blocking me the first time around, except possibly time, as I seem to be perpetually overwhelmed. :-/ Attempts to fix links last time, such as pointing my Thomas Allen to the other person's Amelia Taber as a wife, resulted in TWO links - as FindAGrave decided to "calculate" my dupe as his "second" wife. Not only that, my birth and death dates were not right! Ugh! I have no idea how that went ker-blooey. So I've deleted my Amelia and send the other person links to her parent records which they don't seem to have. Hopefully that'll put this long mistake to rest!

RE: Mary Doane #61122286
Hi Irma, sorry about that-again, I should've sent my sources.

On the: Massachusetts, Birth Records, 1840-1915
it list Mary Lucille 'Rogers' born 2 Nov 1882 in Quincy, Mass to Henry Rogers & Lucy A Rogers. Her father's occupation is listed as a "leather dealer" born in Marshfield.

On the: 1910 United States Federal Census
(I believe the last census before she married Lewis Doane) she's found as Mary L.Rodgers aged abt 26 living in Quincy with Henry and Lucy.
Same scenario on the 1900 US Census except the family is spelled 'Rogers'.

Reading the 1880 census (before Mary's birth), Henry and Lucy have other children; Luther, Lucy, and Minnie. On their Find A Grave memorial the two parents are buried with Luther and are in the same cemetery with Minnie.

I could not find the 1890 census, where Mary should be about 8 years old.

It seems it's the spelling of the name Rodgers and Rogers that determine the search for documents. But it's clearly Rodgers on Henry and Lucy's gravestone.

If you don't agree with the info I collected, no hurt feelings, I may be totally wrong (happened more times in my life that I can count, that's for sure!)

Again, thanks for all you do and for your commitment to accuracy :) RC

Thank you!
Thanks for adding the obituary for Lewis Doane. It was super informative and so nice to read all the details of his life! Next time I will include my sources, so I apologize for not doing that :) RC
