Bio and Links
Bio Photo Most of my work is from "mowing the rows" in our local cemeteries or in those that are special to me when I get a chance to visit. I try to be very thorough in what I do post to this site. My favorite part of contributing to Find A Grave is walking the cemeteries and taking photos. ACCURATE cemetery documentation is very important, and this is why I do what I do.
I love to research and link families, and add biographical information - please use the Edit tab and send me any information you would like to have added, and I will add based on the rules for bios set in the Find A Grave FAQ's.
I transfer only within the four-generation
Find-A-Grave guidelines.
PLEASE carefully check the cemetery in which you want to list a memorial (it doesn't hurt to quickly check the county too) BEFORE you list it, as one may already exist for that person. Duplicate memorials for the same person, ("Dupes"), whether accidental or intentional, are not allowed by F-A-G. Duplicates erode the quality of this site and are problematic for many reasons. I will send you a friendly SAC if I see one.
It is very sad that quite a few contributors continue to misuse this site and post entries as permanent BURIAL UNKNOWN, both recent deaths and those 100 years ago or more.
This is Find A GRAVE, not a memorial site for generations of folks who have passed on and we do not know where they are buried, or for certain what happened to their remains.
I do not add entries for those with unknown dispositions (Burial Unknown) to Find A Grave. I also will not link my managed memorials to those without proper dispositions. Please do not link any BURIAL UNKNOWN entries to the memorials I manage; I will request the links to be removed if I become aware they have been linked.
PLEASE realize this is a GRAVES REGISTRATION SITE, not a place for you to build your family tree :) If you do not know where the person was buried, or the final disposition of the remains, you should not be listing the person on FIND A GRAVE.
The most recent FAQ's regarding the purpose of this site:
What is Find A Grave?
Find a Grave's mission is to find, record
and present final disposition information
from around the world as a virtual cemetery experience.

Memorial contributions to Find A Grave should fulfill that mission - registration
of the final disposition.
If the memorial contribution corresponds with only the
main mission, then the memorial fulfills its purpose as part of Find A Grave's mission.

Find a Grave memorials may contain rich content including pictures, biographies and more specific information. Members can
leave remembrances via ‘virtual flowers' on the memorials they visit, completing the virtual cemetery experience.

Find A Grave is a resource for anyone in finding the final disposition of family,
friends, and ‘famous' individuals.

Find A Grave is definitely a genealogical RESOURCE, but not a genealogical SITE..... There's a difference :)

Ralph Bryant memorial
Thank you for contacting me and for your concerns about duplicates. However, Ralph's wife was my husband's aunt and I, personally, took the photo of their gravestone. Under these circumstances I don't know anything that I can do about this situation.

If you will give me the name of the other cemetery I will be happy to look it up and contact the other volunteer.

Thank you again.

Thanks for catching the duplicate. Although mine was first I looked with a magnifying glass and the death certificate shows burial as Flagpond Tenn, not Flagpond Cemm. I deleted my memorial as the one Edgar entered has a much more in depth lineage, and of course since he is the grandson and has the right cemetery, what can I say. Glad someone living closer gets it right.
Thanks again, keep up the great work.

Thank you for the information, Karyn. I'm sure that was an interesting meeting to say the least!

I had her placed in the Woodland Cemetery originally and another contributor went to the cemetery, looked for her marker, and was unable to locate one. I will mark it as possibly unmarked.

If I ever get up to Clemson, I'll look myself.

Thank you again,

RE: Norton graves in Clark / Clarks Cemetery
It turns out that Henry Norton was the father of Gaston Buck Norton, who was married to Arreatha Ledford. Arreatha is the aunt of my wife Loretta. Small world!

Sorry, I just got off work and am tired. I cropped the photos and sent them to to both the memorial for Henry and Pauline. I hope they work well for you.

RE: Norton graves in Clark / Clarks Cemetery
Glad to help if I can. I looked at a photo, and got more of a close up, it shows Henry A Norton 1903-1976. There is a flower in front of the info for Pauline, looks like birth 1912?
If you send me your email address I will crop the photo and send it to you. The pixels are pretty high on the photo here, I had to make it smaller to put on find a grave. I could leave it larger and send it, we could try a couple times until we got something sent that would work for you.
My email is
Just let me know,
